Some of you knew this was coming (*looks at eddie*), and I finally found a nice little article to start it off with. Spirit is Chelsea's True Strength "'I am born to score goals so without goals I have a difficult life," said Kezman, who had been counting the minutes ("more than 1,000"). "When we were given the penalty I went to Frank and asked him. He gave me the ball because he knows how difficult it has been for me in the last couple of months with no goals. Also the boss told them to give me the ball.'" I like that last bit. Ooo, and such a nice way to celebrate my 100th post!
I am glad you started this thread. I watched the replay of the game tonight on FSW and I noticed something tonight that I hadn't before. After Kezman scores he runs to the corner on his right. If you watch, while he's doing that, Drogba is in the box running after him and waving his arms for everyone else to join in the celebration. Then Didier nearly tackles Mateja to the ground and they are all laughing. Kezman must be a popular player because the whole team celebrated for him and with him. Meanwhile, at the same time somewhere in DC, I am sure CFCinDC shed a tear in her pint while celebrating.
Yes, as much as I've admired some other recent prolific goal scorers, that was a great show of team unity that you probably never would have seen if say...JFH had taken that PK. Why? I don't know. I greatly admire the guy and hope he continues to do well, but Kezman and the like really seem like a breath of fresh air.
theres no regular penalty taker i can think of or can recall that would'nt give a penalty to another if he was asked *waits for someone to say Henry so i can hit them hard with examples*
Fedwood, I like you so get lost. Don't come trolling here. This isn't an Henry discussion. No one here cares about him. Go start your own Henry love-fest on your own board. I've had enough Arsenal fans for today. I hate them much that I just ordered this shirt: God I hope it comes in before Sunday.
Sorry, I was trying to get this thread back to where it was. Back to CFCinDC's own personal Kezmania. Watch out it's sweeping London (and DC).
LOL, cheers eddie. I'm half tempted to ask Clan to clean this thread up so as to preserve my lil' Kezza shrine.
Don't you think he looks a bit like a chimp though? I think it's his jaw and mouth kind of protrude and gives him a monkey look.
No way! He's adorable, VERY cute little man. If anything, he's got this great impish elf thing going on. And prolly has the best hair of the entire squad except perhaps for Eidur who's just a little fashionplate anyways. I just re-read that last paragraph and... yeah.
There is no hope for you. Do you like my new avatar or should I go back to the Mouriho giving the finger?
Hee, indeed. Sad to see he has a wife though. Ah well, he'll never know what he's missing. I think you should keep the Jose finger one for after next Sunday. Bring it back just when you need it.
Who's his wife? The troll from under the bridge? I should just call Kezza, Frodo from now on. You like the tagline?? The Anti-Kezman
I must warn you, eddie, that slurs against Kezza or Kezz's immediate family are looked down upon in the MK shrine.
Um....lets not get carried away here folks. It was a penalty! Not knocking the lad, but the juries still out, imho.
I still think it was a great goal in a sense of pressure. Just think how much extra pressure he had on him? He knew if he missed, that was probably the last he ever saw anyone giving him a penalty again. So, in my eyes, this was a harder goal than the other 3 that were scored. And now, he will be scoring again, just lie at Ajax.
