Chicago announcers complaining about Latte Lath not shooting. Hoyos gets nutmegged, really lucky not to give up #2.
AppleTV commentators correctly identify Muyumba as having a bad night. Granted, they had a plethora of names to choose from.
Right out of the gate for half 2, Saba makes a run into the box and then shoots predictably high. No changes for either side, yet.
56' and an Atlanta corner is actually sent into the box, which Mihaj puts on target but with no power.
69' and Baez sends one on target after a corner, but as it cuts through 3-4 players it deflects wide.
Latte Lath just lost in a straight footrace with a center defender. The ball was well played for him to get there first, and he just got outrun. Why are we paying this guy?
BTW, in case we needed further evidence, Lath is not fast enough to simply outrun any defender. Maybe when the word on him was "fast" they meant he didn't eat often?
BTW, if you've not been reading Doug Roberson's stuff, he's been quite productive with his Substack, including this week an article where various MLS analysts offer their thoughts about "Should Atlanta bench a DP?"
He gave some free one month subscriptions that I wasn't planning send to anyone, so if anyone wants to check it out PM me your email.
Chicago radio announcers say that Jay ForTOON is coming on for us. How do you read the word "Fortune" and mispronounce it?
Atlanta with 17 shots (5 on target) and 10 corners, but most of them are soft and from distance. Again, they just aren't getting it into dangerous positions.
