Some ground rules... There will be a Phase 2 Champion taking the results from Matchday 7 thru Matchday 12. We will also continue the Overall competition for those that have been in it from the beginning. We're still discussing the point value in another thread. When it's been decided, I'll post it here. For those that are new or considering joining the competition, you get points for predicting the correct RESULT (win, lose or draw) and bonus points for predicting the correct SCORE. For example, in Phase 1, you earned 5 points for correct score and 3 points for correct result. At one point, some players thought that you could not earn any points for a draw because nobody won the game. That's not the case. If you predict a 1-1 draw and the score finishes 2-2, you would have earned 3 points. If it finished 1-1, you get 5. We'll make the second phase points worth more than the first phase, but we haven't decided yet how much.

hmmmm probably should be keeping this to myself but what the heck I'm a nice guy.... When competition becomes tighter and tighter and tougher and tougher, teams start to tighten up and become more conservative. Teams look for an early goal and then look to protect that goal rather then take a chance and counter off the oppositions added pressure. Its very unlikely you'll see 3 - 1 , 3 -2, 4 -3 games at this stage (even though I broke my own rule with on the AC Milan - Real Madrid game). Its actually true with most sports. More often than not the NCAA Championship game in bball is butt ugly. Team are afraid to take risks. I'm just pointing this out because I've noticed a lot of high scoring predictions here and I'm curious about the reasoning behind it. Then again i pretty much sucked the last half of the 1st round so maybe I have no idea what I am talking about.
