01' 0-0 Prince drives down box right, Meffometou cedes a corner.

02' 0-0 Lawrence (up for the corner kick) is fouled at 22m wide right.
03' 0-0 Canada fk at 22m wide right, to Sinclair facing away at 8m center, twist-header deflected wide left.

04' 0-0 Beckie left ck, to 3m 2-right. Sinclair runs a curl from above spot, fends off her defender and hop-heads straight up, wide right.

05' 0-0 Canada control at arc top box right, must backpass to midfield. Beckie mis-hits a backpass directly to Leuko(?), she passes into space down wide right, Chapman(?) cedes a corner.

06' 0-0 Njoya Ajara right ck, to 9m 6-right, Manie hops and volleys waist-high right instep wide right.

06' 0-0 Canada turnover above box top arc right, Cameroon pass into box mid-right. Njoya Ajara comes out to ball, Schmidt slides and pokes ball away, undercuts Njoya Ajara's right foot, she stays down. Canada clear, stoppage for treatment, Njoya Ajara resumes.

08' 0-0 Cameroon restart at circle top left, fair play free kick is a long lob to Labbé at 2m 1/4 left ;)

13' 0-0 Lawrence snipes down wide right for Prince in behind Meffometou, to 6m wide right. Cross to 7m 6-right flick-headed to center, Leuko(?) clears straight up and bicycles away past box top. Fleming settles at arc top left post, shoots right instep wide left low.

15' 0-0 Beckie chest-traps at arc top, quick diagonal pass to Sinclair in arc left facing away, square pass right back to Beckie, diagonal pass down mid-right turns Meffometou but Fleming must veer outward to chase.

16' 0-0 Canada cross from the right to Sinclair facing away at box top center, header to 15m 6-right for Schmidt running through, hop-header drops to Ndom. Canada are aggressively creating chances off forward crosses, using Sinclair as a pivot around arc top.

18' 0-0 Chapman cross from box top wide left to 4m 4-right, Ndom catches high. Off the punt, Buchanan runs 1-v-1 with Aboudi Onguene, leans down for a header off a tricky bounce, whiffs and ball spins past her. Aboudi Onguene rounds Buchanan, face-plants at arc top mid-left. R1 waves her off, calls an infraction against Cameroon -- for simulation??

20' 0-0 Beckie escapes through box top left to 12m mid-left, backpass toward Sinclair at box top mid-left, intercepted. Too unselfish!

23' 0-0 Buchanan longball from circle back right to box top center, Sinclair slide-stomps at it and maybe gets a partial touch, it bounces to Ndom. Canada are crisp in their passing and movements, and very quick to launch through-balls for speed runs.

24' 0-0 Prince 1-v-1 on Leuko at 7m box right, rounds her into box at 2m mid-right, cross blocked over. Right ck cleared away to circle center, Scott(?) longball up wide right, Beckie perfectly times her run through the high line, alone through box right foot. Backpass to 7m right post, Prince stretches right foot out (but upward) and flicks across goal rising too much, high wide left. Cameroon are under some pressure from this unpredictable mix of ideas, and they haven't sorted out their backline yet, nor mounted much possession.

30' 0-0 Meffoumetou longball up box right drops perfectly over Aboudi Onguene's shoulder, leads her in through box top right. Buchanan closes from the left, pushes Aboudi Onguene off-balance with right arm against torso (crowd mutters), pokes over endline right.

31' 0-0 Cameroon right ck, to 13m left post. Ndoumbouk jumps facing away, heads down to arc top center. Meffometou kicks right foot grasstop half-volley, high over bar.

33' 0-0 Cameroon switch left, Yango passes to Aboudi Onguene at 16m box right. Perfect jumping foot-trap, but Chapman clears into near touch. Cameroon have pushed numbers into the center 1/3, and it's more even in midfield now.

35' 0-0 Canada have moved the Sinclair-as-pivot to arc top wide left, and it's dried up a bit. Sinclair is in a Cristiane-like role: she never sprints, often faces away and just looks to ping sideways, and evidently the rest of Canada know to make their runs off of this.

36' 0-0 Zadorsky swings high right roundhouse to clear across Ndoumbouk -- but sends ball into her own left forearm (against chest)? Handball or high kick.

37' 0-0 Scott pokes ball away, Ndoumbouk swings late and clears out both shins. Foul, yellow card on Ndoumbouk.

39' 0-0 Lawrence joins the attack, cross from box top wide right, Manie pike-heads over endline right.

40' 0-0 Zadorsky(?) forward serve to 27m mid-left, Sinclair back-heads, Cameroon can't control it, Fleming(?) collects at 24m center. She dribbles into 15m mid-left, taps down box left to Lawrence(!) way up. Backpass misses Fleming, she chases back and taps right outstep to Zadorsky. High cross to 14m 2/5 right, Sinclair is 1-v-1 on Ndom coming out -- Ndom punches away over Sinclair's head. Scott serves again from ~circle top right to spot, Ndom catches high. Cameroon are doing well to bend-not-break, and Canada are quite inventive in creating all of these looks.

43' 0-0 Chapman(!) plays a long give-and-go from circle top left, receives through box top left to 14m. Hard ground cross through 10m misses everybody, Prince chases it down at 9m mid-right and shoots one-touch across mouth, off a defender, juuust behind right post low into side netting.

45' 1-0 Beckie right ck, high no swerve to 5m left post, toward Prince. Ndom comes out into Ndoumbouk's back, doesn't get there, changes mind and steps back into nowhere. Buchanan runs unmarked from box top, calls off Prince and spike-heads down past Ndom's feet, bounces up into roof.

    HT 1-0.

What a match so far!...both teams have had their sloppy moments, specially at the start but near the same, a physical game without getting dirty....Cameroon really impressing me with how strong the came into this match at the beginning of WC compared to their past year of international matches waiting for this moment....Canada is dominating control and im sure next half the should be at the level expected but Cameroon is holding in and gotta wait for next half but it doesnt look like they will be slowing down either....it's starting to turn into one of my fav group matches so far, cant wait for the second half...

I’m hoping Canada can be a bit more clinical in the final 3rd. They should have more goals in this one

    The goal:

    2H:
48' 1-0 Beckie turn-and-shoot at arc top box left 1-v-2, Ndom catches face-high.

49' 1-0 Fleming(?) cross from 7m wide right over Prince in centerline, to 6-top 3-left, Cameroon heads away. Canada's pressure continues.

51' 1-0 Beckie flicks to Fleming facing away at arc tangent right. Fleming dribbles away to the left, Yando body-checks her in the right ribs, Fleming goes down. Foul. R1 is Ri Hyang Ok of DPRK, who played for them in two WWCs!

52' 1-0 Sinclair fk at arc top, into the wall. Scott(?) long serve from circle top left to 14m mid-right, Prince volleys a cross behind Sinclair, Cameroon clears.

In 2011 WWC, Nigeria beat Canada 1-0 in the group stage...I think there was a power outage during that game...

In 2011, Canada team was not very good. That team did not earn a single point and had a goal difference of -6...

2019 Canada team is probably better than 2011 Canada team...

54' 1-0 A sequence of hotly-contested 50-50s, finally Yango overtakes Chapman with a friendly right-arm-over-left-shoulder down her front, loses own balance and goes flying. Foul on Chapman

55' 1-0 Cameroon fk at circle back right, long to 10m 1/3 left, Labbé bravely basket-catches low against chest in traffic.

57' 1-0 Manie fk at circle top box left, high to 9m center, Sinclair(?) heads down and wide away from Ndoumbouk, over endline left.

58' 1-0 Aboudi Onguene(?) right ck, horribly slices it outswinging past box top. Yango heads it back into box, no 2nd, Scott clears up right touch.

60' 1-0 Buchanan turns away at circle top, chips over everybody to 14m center. Prince half-settles the bounce, shoots high left roundhouse but pulls it wide right. Replay shows: offside by a shoe length :p

    61' 1-0 R1 admonishes #7 Aboudi Onguene -- dunno for what.

63' 1-0 Lawrence goes up wide right, creates a diagonal passing lane for Buchanan, receives and dribbles across midfield. She passes to Prince down wide right to 15m, 1-v-1 face-off vs. Manie. Hard cut endline wrong-foots Manie, but Prince shanks her cross behind goal. Canada move both fullbacks up the sidelines and play with a triangle in the back if Cameroon isn't pressing.

66' 1-0 Schmidt long pass up circle left to Fleming, zero-rebound trap. Square pass right to Sinclair, tap back to Fleming, switch right to Lawrence unmarked through arc top right. Lawrence cuts inside on 1 defender, shoots left instep but waited a bit too long, blocked point-blank behind her, and she trips turning back to ball. Still, that overlap is available consistently.

66' 1-0 Cameroon subs in (1 of 3) #18 Henriette Akaba for #3 Njoya Ajara.
67' 1-0 Cameroon subs in (2 of 3) #17 Gaelle Enganamouit for #19 Marlyse Ngo Ndoumbouk.
