Barco has to go. I can't even see the potential in keeping him in hopes he'll increase in value because he doesn't link well with anyone else we have in attack, he's not an out-and-out goal scorer, and we need someone to do a better job making space for team play. Beyond that it's faster to consider who we want to keep than who we want to let go: Lennon, Damm, Moreno, Bello, Robinson, Gallagher, and Adams. Everyone else is disposable, IMO.
I just hope we haven't scared off any potential name managers with this roster and play. McDonough is gone. Tata is gone. We're essentially at square one again. I just hope we can ditch enough dead wood to have something resembling a clean slate.
I wouldn't worry about that. Atlanta has the money, the facilities, they get Martinez back next year, and in MLS the best teams are never truly out of reach. I'm more worried about what options from which Atlanta has to choose.
To be born, live, conquer, die, be reborn, and conquer again, all in five seasons... one can hope. I'm hoping that the big names can come here next season. COVID may or may not cooperate. I admit that I had to Google this.
91' Orlando with a free kick just outside the box... ... and it's bumbled into the net. 4-1. Just a bad deflection .
FT: 4-1 Well, that at least puts the playoff talk away. Basically Atlanta has one mission left - beat FCC so that the Stripes avoid the worst record in the league. Yes, you read that right. F*** 2020.
Good: - 14 shots is good for this side - Torres gets a goal - Moreno looked really good until he got frustrated in the 2nd half Bad: - The reckless hacking at the end of the first half changed the game. The two cards not only resulted in the free kick for ORL goal #2 but impaired the defensive play in the 2nd half and killed momentum. Ugly: - What the f*** was Wycke doing on that third goal? That was just fugly.
