I think Nogueira goes bonkers in this one and the Union win. I just have a feeling. He looked angrier than ISIS in a synagogue when they gave him that second place medal last year. Vince seems like the type that shows up in big games.

Still no definitive word on TV, either.

This is the first game all year, besides the home opener, that I've been really excited to go to. It's hard to tell which Union will show up, but being a final I think they will be up to the task and get the job done this time.
I know Fabinho got his green card, but do we have to worry about the Int limit this game? I can't remember if Nogs got his or not.

Yeah, there is no "maybe I will, maybe I won't" on this one for me, either. There has been very little excitement this season (even during wins), but I am pumped for this match! Last year's atmosphere was so amazing, I'm hoping the lackluster season doesn't prevent that from happening again.

Either way, I think Nogs & Edu strap this team on their backs for this one and win the Cup.

That is the stupidest thing ever. The writing is so small and we all know the reason for the game and the date.

I hope the game gets postponed (e.g. weather, SKC can't get to Philly because the Pope is still hanging around, etc.) one day so it winds up being wrong.

Fox definitely has the rights for the game. Last year TCN stepped in for local fans and was able to simulcast with GolTV.

My guess is FS1 will have the broadcast. They have an MLB talk show, followed by a UFC talk show. I'm sure they can preempt those just fine. FS2 will be showing a replay of Malmo vs. Real Madrid, which could also get moved.

I don't think, however, that TCN will be able to do what they did last year. They will be airing the Flyers vs. Devils during the Final, and we know the Union aren't going to bump that even if it is preseason.

I have heard that FiOS is getting FS2 in HD this week. So, if it is on FS1 or FS2, we can watch/record in beautiful HD.

Modern usage is to not put in the ST and TH. But if you do, they should be smaller, bold and elevated so that at least half the letters are above the tallest regular letter on the line. Where did these interns go to school?

The stencil had the "th" and they were not going to color it in but then the sharpie slipped and made a mark so they had to fill in the whole thing to cover the mistake.

Almost all our wins this year, MLS and otherwise were against injury riddled B squads or teams who simply didn't give a shit anymore (see Chicago in the semi-final).

I don't see us winning against a solid team like SKC who will be motivated to put in a good performance.

Don't get me wrong, I want them to win, desperately so even. It's just that this team has given me so few reasons to feel confident in them anymore.

That would be a beautiful thing. I hate watching FS2 in standard def, at a 16x9 ratio, and then expand it to fill me screen.

I wasn't sure if I was just being negative, but going back through our wins this season shows you're pretty spot on.

We have, maybe 2 or 3 actual quality wins. Others (like Columbus & Seattle) were against teams that didn't even feel the need to start their regular starters against us.

Beyond that our other wins have been against teams that are right near us in the standings (read, the teams we should beat, but don't always).

I know we hate to talk about wins-with-asterisks, but when the whole season is taken into account we really haven't performed well against squads that are better than us, and are at full strength.

As others have noted, Verison FIOS schedule is not showing USOC in listing for the 30th but the USOC reported it going to Fox earlier this year - assume the listings were done well in advance and Fox wanted to see the teams in the final to determine which channel would be used to show the game.

After three years on GolTV, the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Final has a new home and a bigger audience. A source has told TheCup.us that the 2015 US Open Cup Final will be broadcast live on either Fox Sports 1 or Fox Sports 2 as part of a new deal between Fox and the United States Soccer Federation and Soccer United Marketing.

I didn't see us winning at RBA, a man down, against a fired-up NYRB organization irked that we wouldn't play ball with their rescheduling. But it happened. It only takes 1 game now.
