Re: In Game Crew v. Woodies 7-23-11 I'm getting technical difficulties with the feed. DK on Direct TV. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADTMBxWRjW8"]Oh There's Legwork[/ame]
Nice little feed from Rogers to Rusmir there; Dejan just got wrong-footed a little. NY/DAL spoiler: [result]NY blows a lead at home and only gets a 2-2 tie against Dallas. I keep saying it -- NY's not that good.[/result]
Re: In Game Crew v. Woodies 7-23-11 I was down town columbus with my wife and son watching cartoon capers at ohio theater (about 11am). During the intermission went to the concessions, looked out on State Street and saw the entire Portland Timbers squad walking passed the window. Weird.
NY fans staged a protest where they remained silient the first half for their team's handling of the Open Cup (or lack of lol). Supporting culture in MLS has become a culture of me instead of being about the team. It's started with Toronto but they've been humbled. Now it's Seattle who's fans can't stop sniffing each other's butts.
I'm glad somebody else said this first. I love supporters' groups, but there's a lot of them that just royally piss me off. There are too many people who want to make themselves the center of attention instead of actually BEING supporters. This crap about walking out like the Fort, or staying quiet like NYRB tonight -- get over yourselves and CHEER FOR YOUR TEAM. I think it was Mark Twain who said being a patriot means supporting your country all the time and your government when it deserves it. I'll tweak it: Being a supporter means supporting your club ALL THE TIME and your FO when it deserves it. Being quiet for a half doesn't do anything to help the eleven guys on the field you're supposed to be rooting for.
Re: In Game Crew v. Woodies 7-23-11 So what'd you throw? Come on, Edward Gaven, don't continue the season this way
Gotta say... it looks like Robbie Rogers brought his big boy shoes tonight. He's looked kind of dangerous a couple times already.
I'm just glad I've not the only one fed up with this kind of garbage. Portland seems alright then you learn that The Timbers Army 107 or whatever have been in bed with their Front Office, have their own logo/patch, and were paid off so that they all got passes to the Addidas Employee store for free stuff.
I don't think this is as taboo as it once was because, for one, nobody is getting results. But lately he's been one of the better ones on the field for us.
I'd like to welcome Tony Tchani to the "I'll pay him, but I ain't gonna play him" club. Considering our injuries and lackluster performance last game, dude should have made the bench tonight.
The work in and around the box is just horrible. No one has an idea of what to do once when they get to the box with the ball.
LOL so true. So on Cunningham: do you think he has a Jeter like thing going where the pressure is making this hard for him to get it done?
I don't think that at all. I think it's just that we're so offensively starved that it's a struggle for everybody. I mean, when's the last time you saw Cunningham get a chance where you said "you know, he really should have done better with that"? I can't think of one.
