FWIW the ball has been largely in Orlando's half for the past 10 minutes, due in part to harder work rate by Atlanta.
FT: 0-0 Result is fair, though without Guzan Atlanta gives up a couple. 2nd half was much better for Atlanta. Much better challenging 50/50 balls, pushing forward in support of attack, and not letting Orlando ball handlers have more space. Will feel like a lost opportunity given how short-handed Orlando was tonight, but on the flip-side Atlanta faced a much better team than DC and still didn't lose.
Watch the highlight. Orlando breakaway ends up with a shot pass to Nani(?) just inside the box which he one-times low. Guzan has to dive down to his left to get his hand in front of it. Truly great.
Happy to get the point against a really solid Orlando team. They're not world-beaters, but they've definitely been better than us this season. Atlanta seems to be playing better as a team, seems to be playing to our roster's strengths, and is getting results because of it. Both teams had chances to score, but neither looked particularly dangerous over the course of the whole game. We need a forward in a bad way, and a transitional midfielder in the center of the pitch. Larentowicz is a really good player, but he's definitely older and slower than he used to be. Hopefully New Guy can live up to all the hype.
