This match could see one of the two teams advance to the Round of 16. Or neither, in the case of a sad draw! :x3:

12' 0-0 Nchout ground pass from arc top box right to Aboudi Onguene unmarked at arc left. Onguene touches right to arc tangent left post, shoots right instep across mouth just wide right low as Nayler dives.

19' 0-0 Yango dinks over New Zealand's right flank, Aboudi Onguene runs on behind them to 17m mid-left. Left foot shot across mouth, Nayler is way up at 8m left post, reaches overhead and double-blocks ball rightward across 6-top. Onguene saw Nayler off her line and tried a mini-lob, but not enough height.

45' 0-0 Riley crosses from 10m wide left to spot, White leans back and glance-heads through box right to 4m wide right. Bowen(?) chases it down, cross back to 9m 1/4 right, Gregorius(?) bodysurfs on a defender and heads a bloop to 5m 1/4 left, Ngo Ndom comes out and collects. +3'.

HT 0-0. Cameroon 6(1)-(1)1 shots(sog), 1-1 corners, 1-1 offsides, 7-3 fouls, 51% possession, 8-6 tackles, 20-13 clearances, 64% (101/157) - (133/196) 68% passing. Quite even. Argentina (who need this match to be a draw) must be on pins and post slivers.

New Zealand appear to look for wide crosses, while Cameroon prefer vertical through-balls to chase, and long shots from box top.

49' 0-0 Yango(?) long diagonal from circle top left misses just behind Enganamouit(?) at 18m box left, continues down wide left. Aboudi Onguene collects through box left, chases a heavy touch to 3m mid-left. Erceg recovers and slide-pokes over endline, Aboudi Onguene hops over her.

52' 0-0 Aboudi Onguene chests ball across 8m, Stott interposes at 8m right post, Aboudi Onguene slides down and swings left foot into Stott's right shin.

53' 0-0 Nchout goes down with left hamstring cramp.

54' 0-0 Cameroon subs in (1 of 3) #21 Alexandra Takounda (18 yrs!) for #17 Gaelle Enganamouit

A must-win game for each team, and neither has had that many good chances ... amazing.

And I reverse jinxed it. 1-0 Cameroon on a calm settle of the box, a touch into space, and a calm finish into the far low corner. But Argentina may get to hope for a handball VAR reversal?

57' 1-0 Leuko crosses from box top wide left to Nchout facing away at 14m 1/4 left. Nchout settles with a perfect right outstep tapdown, spins cw away from Erceg stepping up too close, ahead of 2 to 8m 2-left. Left instep shot bends across mouth past Nayler's left hand, into right side netting low.

64' 1-0 Nayler makes three saves around her 6-box :notworthy:

68' 1-0 New Zealand subs in (2 of 3) #12 Betsy Hassett for #3 Anna Green.

Cameroon nearly with a second Argentina-killing goal. Nayler makes one save, then a second off the rebound, then a third off another rebound, and the fourth shot hits side netting. Goalkeeping highlight of the match. Nice to see a goalkeeper do something on replay other than have her heels slightly in front of the goal line on a PK.

One goal is already ARG killing. Two goals would be Nigeria killing.

A Cameroon win eliminates Argentina. Chile would need to beat Thailand by 4 goals.

New Zealand's best offensive play of the match! Cross nowhere near your not-even-open striker, and count on the own goal! Fear the Kiwis!

1-1 and as it stands neither team would go through, which would be fair.
