Great job USA. They rode the storm. We won and got 3. Come on Portugal, we are ready for your best. A few days to regroup and freshen up. Proud to be represented by our 23 (well JK's 23), but who cares go USA. Im gonna go pig out on some brisket and pass out rewatching the game. Just curious, are you a Klinsmann? (you have that sunshine way about yourself that irritates my eyes)

Ha fine, well when he did have the ball he *might* have been trying to do too much. Let's just agree that he was crap and leave it at that...

Absolutely. The fact that he's been great for us so often does not mask the fact that today he had a bad performance. I have no idea why, but what you said is what happened.

I'm on the fence to be honest. Don't always think he makes the best decisions but also don't think he should get fired every time I see him on tv. Glad I irritate your eyes noted to just avoid you from now on. Enjoy your day.

    Almost?

If we beat Portugal and Germany beats Ghana, both the USA and Germany will be in the second round, regardless of what happens in the USA vs Germany game

edited for the brain fart. I meant USA and Germany

This Ghana team was different. They curiously didn't cramp and roll in the final minutes of the game. Weird..

I still rather Green over LD10. He's more needed for the future which is vital. Anyway, not having Boyd is the one lost I don't like without Jozy.

hey my friend. i see what your saying, but the original post was that JK won us this game and all I said was that the players deserve full credit for this great game today. And then it went from there, so maybe reread the thread. Im not hatin. GO USA.

the future doesn't matter. right now matters.
If you seriously think Green can beat LD then you are literally insane.

Good showing. Hopefully the injuries don't hurt us too bad. Congrats USMT.

Does Aron start the next match or does Wondo? I figure Diskerud will play a role in the next match but still wanna see Beckerman starting.

yes the stupid comment was sarcasm ty 4 getting that, i said that he was a bad name because of how he drew the foul then tried to buck up to get himself a foul, hes prone to that. yes? brooks doesnt suck of course...but as i posted my grandma could have headed it in. that cross from zusi is what ruled on that play. great finish btw. and yes i am a xenophobr. :) ask the mods. No comment on tool, you probably wont believe me anyways. Ty 4 good discussion, also

3 points won here argueably against the weakest team in the group

Next two games will be epic maybe better than the WC final but USA will need to be better since Ghana could get points off Portugal and Germany and Portugal can win against the USA and Ghana they were was today but they got the hardest team out of the way now are games got easier IMHO the USA games just got harder gonna be a real fight til the end there will be blood shed inthis group and I was right

Orlando reporting in. We went nuts with this one.

That was Wall St. Plaza downtown, packed down an entire block, with all the bars on either side packed as well. There were bars at capacity all over the place. All of it was jumping.

My guess after calming down is Bradley who is usually so unflappable was just a bit too - amped - and overhitting his passes.

Hey it's opening game of World Cup and everyone is saying you will be the star - and then Jozy disapears and Clint is not knocked out but definitely bloodied.

So in other words we just learned Michael is human after all.

I am 100% sure Michael will be laser-beam focused and play a great game against Portugal, not to worry.

Who not to forget Portugal have their own injury worries and loss of confidence after getting clobbered by Germany, and losing one of their best defenders who lost his head in 1 moment of overreaction to Mueller's overacting/gamesmanship. The pressure gets to folks differently, fortunately compatriots Beckerman and Jones stayed cool calm and reasonably collected.

Good to have some of those veterans along for the ride, plus young guns like Brooks ready to step up on the main stage when his moments came.

How is Green a wasted roster spot? Does the 23rd guy on a 23 man roster usually contribute? Even still, until the tournament is over for the US team, we can't conclude anything about Green.
