please tell me our team was served some bad caldeirada

what happened to our great midfield?

    please remove Pennant ASAP

Gerrard is clearly not fit -- he had the ball taken off of him, and instead of battling for it he just backed away

shots 9-2, fortunately on target: 2-1

we've got to look better in the second half

very fortunate not to be behind at HT

Absolute shite performance, but on the plus side its only 1-1 when it should be much worse. Hopefully Rafa can sort out this mess at half time.

On the bright side the chavs are losing :D

although liverpool hasnt performed to well i think alot of ppl underestimated portos overall quality.

not alot of "big named" players but ppl like Assuncao are superb.

    Quaresma:D

I think Benitez needs to introduce Benayoun and either Voronin or Crouch.

Gerrard and Mascherano aren't playing spectacular, but I don't know if I trust putting Lucas in.

I think a third central midfield will come in the shape of Lucas Levia. Pennant off, in my view. He's already walking a disciplinary tight-rope.

look for Benitez to explore Porto's weakest link on D in the 2nd half: Joao Paulo (our worst defender who got beat like a little kid on Kuyt's goal). Crouch will eventually come in to put more pressure on our CDs.

it will be interesting to see what Ferreira does in the 2nd half. Does he sit Tarik who is playing well? (Muslim player celebrating Ramadan and who hasn't eaten since 5 AM this morning)

I think Torres has touched the ball once all game.

More pressure from Porto - corner

What in the name of heck is wrong with our passing - (almost) none of the balls out of defence has found a teammate

Pennant was really poor today. He needed to get his head down after the first card, instead moaned throughout the match

Fucile looked like he was severely injured tho

we are in shreds in defence

I have to say, I saw the Pennant red card coming. That's not to say he deserved it. Rather that my eye was on him, and he did have enough chances not to get two bookings in under an hour.

Ten men is the only way I could see Porto winning this one. Shame.

You can beat these bar-stewards. You just need to be more decisive.

Pennant was terrible today, with his temperment and already having been booked he had to be replaced at halftime.

Horrible mistake by Benitez, but Rafa is prone to leaving players in too long.

On the bright side we don't have to see such pathetic displays, for another three CL games.

this ref is a wanker, accepting too much diving from Porto

Torres booked for dissent after another Porto dive

otherwise, corners 9-0, sums it up

Hard to watch this - Kuyt is the only one playing with energy. Something in the water?

Stevie is definately injured - he's not got any movement or acceleration.

    We do miss Xabi.

At first I thought he was ok, but as the game progressed he allows very physical play...until someone dramatically falls down. Since we are playing the Portoguese, you can understand why this is a disastrous combination for Liverpool.

Liverpool has been a shambles discipline-wise. Torres and Kuyt collect yellows in quick succession. Torres off Voronin on.
