could play more of a 3-5-2 with willian sitting behind the two strikers. but either way, it looks like the front 3 will be Morata, Bats, and Willian in whatever formation. to me it's highly unlikely that Musonda or Boga would start unless Conte just REALLY wants to stick with a certain formation or he doesn't feel Morata is ready to start.

Maybe, maybe not. The 3-4-3 backline was makeshift as ******** when we first used it. Azpi as a CB? Moses as a wingback? We all know how that went.

Obviously I'm not saying we're about to go on a tear or even look good, but I'm not all doom and gloom just yet. We draw against Arsenal missing our best attacker with Fab and Kante in midfield.

If I see Morata on the wing, though, I'm rioting.

well to be fair he may be forced there. would you rather Bats play there? and also fair to remember that those wide attackers aren't necessarily wingers, they are wide forwards that are supposed to link up. not saying it's ideal, but Morata CAN play there and link with the other forwards. and as i said earlier, we could end up seeing him and Bats up top with Willian underneath.

He "can" play out wide but I would 100% rather see Musonda up there acting as a true wide player. That or what your last sentence suggests, which I'm cool with too.

Fair to say, Conte didn't look happy at all in the press conference

Needs to get on with it. Not an ideal situation but his attitude is what led us to a title with what looked like a very less than perfect looking squad last season. He is getting paid a shit ton so I hope he makes the best of this.

Give a man a hammer in a machine gun fight and tell him to get on with it. Sure.

Some of you don't seem to want to differentiate between the club actively trying to get the right personnel but it just not being that easy vs. imaginary evil Emenalo land where the club is holding out on our glorious, sacred Antonio Conte, forcing him to work with scraps

I definitely think that Baker's loan move means that the club is very confident that signings will be coming soon. If Cesc or Kante (not likely) go down with an injury, what do we do then?

Boga gets the start along with Willy and Bats up top. Fab and Kante in the middle. Azpi at RWB, Rud Luiz GarBear in the back 3, Marcos at LWB. Thibaut in goal.

    Get after em Boga.

Welp, chance for Boga, hope he takes it. Also perhaps a message to the board? Either way I'm going to just try to be excited to see youth. He did well in preseason.

A bit disappointed for Morata to be on the bench, but I'm sure Conte feels he isn't 100% ready for a start. Anyway, hoping we can see a good performance from Boga and maybe a goal from Michy and Morata (assuming he's subbed on).
