I was happy with Grosskreutz as a fullback in the 2-3 games I saw him. Let's see what he does today. He is decent defensively. Of course the other players track back and help him.
Also , Leitner, Bittencourt and Hofmann today........ let's see what they got. Away from home is gonna be hard for them. Augsburg won their game so it is a must-win match for Fortuna.

Very nice through ball by Hofmann to Schieber and Schieber wasnt offside. Stupid ref. That would have been a good goalscoring chance.

Sahin scores a epic screamer of a long shot. Poor positioning by Giefer, though.

Great goal by Sahin. I think Giefer should have done better though.

Hummels goes on a long, mazy run that ends in a misplaced throughball.

Not really. Hofmann tried to be Messi, lost the ball in a dangerous position and thank God Hummels managed to block the shot from that counter attack. Apart from that, we are comfortable.

Lots of last-ditch stuff, every time Düsseldorf put together a half decent move (admittedly not too often) they go straight towards Borussia's backline, and BVB is fortunate Hummels and co are working overtime. This could've been 1-1 easy.

That was great piece of skill by Hofmann. The boy can play no doubt. He had other good moments in the first 20 min. He has gone quiet a bit in the last 15 min apart from those dribbles.

Of course after I type that he does 50 step-overs and makes a sloppy back pass to show for it.

That Sahin goal shows exactly why he was the best in the league two years ago. Sharp and precise thinking. Superb goal. Happy for him. His Rückrunde seems far more positive than I would have imagined.

Bittencourt had also some good dribbles and combinations. I think Leitner is the least impressive of the 3.

Agreed. Leitner and to a lesser extent Bittencourt have disappointed me so far, but that could change in the 2nd half. I'd take Leitner off and put in someone like Reus. Bittencourt has had some promise in this match though.
