I am hoping for a draw between Portugal and Spain and Portugal and Morocco. That will mean that regardless of the Iran-Spain result (Iran might do well actually), we would head to game 3 with 3 points while Portugal will only have 2 points (and Morocco 1 pt).

Quite a Morocco way to lose and an Iran way to win. It is looking more and more likely that Spain and Portugal will advance without too much of a problem.

No, because Spain and Portugal will not play defensivly.

You can hope now. But you really need to keep your fingers crossed given the situation... It's not good.

Come on, that's purely hypothetical. I don't recall the Morocco goalie being very busy all game. Anyway congratulations on the win.

They also have a far better strike force than Morocco.

Morocco will fall to Spain and Portugal because Morocco didn't show they can score when needed.
Iran will fall to Spain and Portugal because Iran looked suspect at the back.

The only 1-nil match in this group was probably the first match.

At the end of the England-Italy game, Balotelli walked past the camera, put up two fingers, then one (the score), then shushed the English fans.

lol. Yeah, sadly, I missed that but I'm not surprised that it's Balotelli who\s done it. That guy is not too normal :)

Morocco will also not be setup with a full attack mode as today.
So it'll be an entirely different game.

This might actually be the best case scenario for Morocco if Portugal lose. If they beat Portugal next matchday (tall order, but still) they head into the last game possibly just needing not to lose by more than a one goal margin.

Portugal looking very beatable. But they have Ronaldo...

Portugal as a team look beatable but Ronaldo is starting to look like a serious GOAT contender and single-handedly carried them to a draw against a strong Spanish side full of depth and weaponry on offense and defense. It frankly isn't looking good for "the other two" for this group after watching that 3-3 match. IMO Morocco is toast while Iran will have to muster something incredible against both of those teams.

A draw is the worst possible result for Morocco, because now Morocco need a minimum of 4 pts in the next two matches.

Iran could scrape through with a draw.

But man - Portugal was barely in the game, yet Ronaldo pulled a miracle out of his had (with a hand from De Gea).

Iran will need to be at its best and have some luck, but it can get a draw against either or both these teams. We just will need Morocco to get a draw against Portugal and I think we will be in good shape.

That was a very nice header with perfect placement.

With CR7 in top form and Spain after losing their coach still good enough to tie him, the prospects are grim for both Iran and Morocco IMO.

The draw means essentially you need to either win one more game or hope Morocco gets a draw or win somewhere.

As mentioned a draw was the worst possible result for Morocco. They now need a minimum of 4 points in their next two games to progress.

RIght now it looks like Spain and Portugal will advance, but it's not unthinkable that either Iran or Morocco can beat at least one of them. They both looked vulnerable in defense.
