Guys, our first match of the Bundesliga's second round kicks off at 3:30 PM (CET) at MSV Duisburg. As most of you know, this is our chance to get revenge on them for their 3-1 asskicking of us on opening day at Westfalenstadion.

Right now, injury worries for BVB are Kovac, Klimowicz and Petric

Kovac is suffering from a cold, which he played through in the Bremen match. Klimowicz complained of muscular problems in the days after the Bremen match and Petric still is not 100% from his hyper-extended hip. However, I expect Kovac and Petric to be in the starting lineup.

As against Bremen, Alexander Frei should be on the roster, but on the bench for the match. Doll says that Frei is itching to get in, but Doll thinks Frei needs "a few more practice sessions."

I think that is code language for, "I'm saving him for the Schalke match......" :D

Doll says he would like more consistency from the team. That is what I'd like to see too. I think what I saw on Tuesday night was more like what we saw in our narrow and lucky win over Stuttgart.

I hope we run over Duisburg as we ran over Bielefeld after that Stuttgart match. But there is no way we can allow for a "letdown" against Schalke.

Which also might be a danger in this match tomorrow. The team could look past Duisburg to the Schalke match.

But I doubt that will happen. I think the team will want their revenge for that first match of the season.

And I think we will have our revenge.......

And not in the 68th minute either.

Doll has brought Frei into the match......

EDIT: Wait a minute! As soon as I sent that, Klimowicz makes it 3-2!!

I think this is one of the rare situations where you can be satisfied with a draw against Duisburg :) - I must add it was a good fightback from BVB.

That is exactly what has me encouraged. Too many times, I have seen a BVB team put their heads down and give up after a situation like the one in which Duisburg went up 3-1.

And to get the tying goal nearly two minutes into stoppage time?

    Unbelievable!!! :D

Same thing they've been doing most of the season, which is a whole lot of ball-watching.

But yeah, always fantastic to snatch a point like that after being down so late. Hopefully this isn't a one-week thing. I always like a team with a good fight in them.

You made the point yourself. You didn't see the match.

On the first goal, Ziegler f#cked up on a cross and Woerns (who played because Kovac was sick) could not clear the ball. Instead he meekly tapped it to Duisburg's Filipescu, who blasted it into our net.

On the second goal, Petric lost the ball in midfield as the others were moving forward. Duisburg caught the defenders flat-footed and Willi beat Ziegler with a great shot.

Their third goal came from a penalty caused by Dede, who was beaten on the play, in midfield. Dede backtracked, caught Grilic in the area and got the ball, but took Grilic out at the same time. The call could have gone either way, but the referee chose to give the penalty.

Our defense wasn't terrible today. MSV simply took advantage of nearly every one of our mistakes. In the first half, they did take advantage of both mistakes.

It was a tale of two matches. In the first half, MSV simply out-worked us. They fought for every ball and our guys didn't.

The second half started better for us, but we fell into the rut again. That changed when Doll brought in Buckley for Dede, Klimowicz for the once again useless f#cking Valdez and Frei for Kringe, who also had a bad day today.

We dominated play after that and were it not for two great saves by MSV keeper Beuckert against Frei, we would have won.

It wasn't just good, it was different. Those guys would usually tuck their tails at 3-1. They didn't this time. I mean, they f&cking fought hard and dominated! As I said, if it were not for two great saves by Beuckert against Frei, we would have won.
