You quite literally asserted words the poster never even said. You are essentially debating yourself.

Easier said than done. Europeans don't want to play friendlies. Although I don't think that's the issue.

That doesn't matter IMO, club form of players is priority over tough friendlies 3 months away from the main competition. Part of the reason for this loss is that Scaloni started too many players coming back from injuries or with poor form at their clubs when he had more reasonable options in bench.

I don't think that's the issue either, just didn't help.

I think that for strong teams from outside UEFA who struggle to find quality UEFA teams for friendlies before the World Cup, an option may be an exhibition vs. an "all-stars" selection from the domestic league. If the best Campeonato Brasileiro players who were not called for World Cup duty were to be made into a team for a scrimmage against Brazil, it'd probably be a decent challenge as opposed to other international sides which may not provide solid opposition.

Too much pressure on Argentina as favorites/sentimental Messi favorites and the unbeaten streak caught up to them. They peaked too early.

They still can redeem themselves cause I think they are better than Mexico and Poland but they are mentally in a funk and may have to do something drastic with their lineup/tactics.

Saudi Arabia showed a lot of heart and did not give up. It was an honor to watch the biggest upset in Modern World Cup history and see them close it out with guts and glory.

You know it was a questionable call when Andres Cantor (Argentine-American broadcaster on Telemundo) did not think it was a penalty.

Although me personally can see why they called it cause the Arabian defender kept his hands on him to the ground.

Because the Argentinian was holding his hand and made Arabian unable to let go. Fake! :)

We are approaching the 4 hour mark since the final whistle and I find myself still in disbelief.

Woke up this morning to watch the second half. Checked my phone and some asshole on twitter had posted that it was 7-0 Argentina at the half.

So I went back to bed.

    I hate people.

For Argentina the Mexico Poland draw is the best result possible

Unless ... Poland loses to Saudi Arabia

Or obviously they lose to Mexico and are on the plane home before the postcards even make it back home.

6 points could be enough to top this group tbh.

After watching Mexico and Poland, I think Saudi Arabia can beat both of them with some luck, especially Poland.
