Y'know, the topic of Muller is a good one. The more I watch the guy, the more impressed I become. Yes, he's still young and unpolished, and yes, sometimes he flubs good opportunities. But he is a tireless worker, has plenty of pace, and most importantly, his running off the ball is superb. He is contantly making good runs into space, and his runs are always well timed and well placed, and to add to that he really shows good field vision (his pull back pass for Poldolski's goal is perfect evidence). And, he can score goals. His goal against Australia was a beauty - nice cut back move, then a nice turn around angle shot.

Plus, Muller's performances with Bayern were well proven throughout the season. There was good reason van Gaal prefered Muller over Klose or Gomez.

I think Muller is one of Germany's top young talents.

Then there's Ozil, and that's a whole other topic. Long story short - he's a phenom.

Nearly all Serbian newspapers compared us to Panzer again.
Also some other south Europeans did. „La Stampa" wrote, that we are multiethnic Panzer now!:D
The English press has been surprisingly positive though and did not resort to Nazi or war headlines.

To Cacau. Like others said already, when you know his backstory, then I think it can be justified that he plays for Germany now. Given though, most foreign non Germany supporters will see him as a mercenary nevertheless. But most of these guys call even Klose and Podolski mercenaries, who in their eyes are not really German. So I don´t think we should care much about this opinions...

P.S.: Random note. Bieber is the German word for Beaver.

    About the Vuvuzelas

Hey, Germany played just fine with the Horns.... I say it's to our advantage to let it be.

If Messi is complaining then it's is definitley to our advantage.....

    Last night was proof....

BTW Oezil deserved that yellow for diving last night... Although I thought you only got a yellow if you dove INSIDE the penalty box? Learned something new.

After Gomez, Thomas Mueller is actually the only forward/supporting forward who has successfully breakthrough in the bundesliga. Now i m still astonished that he can play so well at RW as he did in the Australia match coz he played rather poorly at RW for Bayern Munich if u ask me. His hustle, off-the-ball, positioning inside the penalty box n composure will make him a better striker than at RW in the long run

Especially when there are not many newcomers in the striker department throughout the country, Thomas Mueller will be a striekr for the NT in the long run

Gomez is still 24, and was a German Football Player of the Year just 2 seasons ago.........but he hasn't imporved at all afterwards.

Schurrle, Sukuta-Pasu, Mlapa, Lennart Thy, Dennis Thomalla, Shawn Parker n Marius Duhnke are some good talents. But other than Schurrle n Mlapa...........the other have yet to establish themselves in professional football yet. Schurrle n Mlapa were starting forward for their clubs last season, not sure abotu next

I don't know, I thought Oezil and Khedira were both 22 and the cutoff age was 21. I was wrong, Oezil is still only 21...Khedira 23.

Because Ozil will be the best player of tournament, so they give chance to some other players to win this award:cool:

    :D:D

Btw: Bremen should look into this Affelay kid as replacement. As close to a 1-1 replacement for Özil there is.

Zonal marking. Lots of teams have been abandoning man marking for this in the last couple of years. Can be a very risky strategy. It nearly cost us at the beginning.

HA! Half our team is up for that award.

No, that's not an official list, just a selection of potential breakthroughs.

Nope, those are the 35 players eligible for the award, born on or after 1 January 1989.

He's on his way to Hamburg, isn't he?

No reason why Mueller shouldn't win it then. Not much competition to be honest.

Nothing is confirmed yet, I think Affelay wants to wait & see after the WC. I hope he moves to Bremen. He is about as close to 1-1 replacement for Özil Bremen could get. He's agile, has great vision, good technic, dribbling, pace great shot...& He has allready played well vs. HSV:D:D

perhaps but zonal marking fits our "style" better. Better to learn it sooner rather than later.
