I don't think there could've been a better final match up for this World Cup. No huge favorite, no previous winners, and two excellent styles of play.

    Here we go!

WHY DO WE HAVE TO LISTEN TO EFAN EKOKU????? He's been nothing but an idiot the entire cup. Anyone short of Harkes would have been preferable!

    Hope it's a good game!

I totally agree with this and as has been stated before... it's the first time ever that there's been no Argentina, Brazil, Italy or Germany in a WC final.. long overdue imho. Also there's the Villa v Sneijder golden boot factor.

Webb won't buy it though. Being a former cop also, I'm sure he's seen it all in his lifetime.

That said I need some popcorn, this is about to be a good'un.

Well he´s definitely one of the best refs in this tourney. Then again, this world cup set a new standard in crappy calls. Let´s hope for the best :)

05' 0-0 Spain free kick from 22m wide right. #8 Xavi curls it to 11m center just behind the penalty spot, #15 Sergio Ramos dives high on a comeback and drives it hard low center -- #1 Maarten Stekelenburg dives and blocks it wide of the right post. Spain collects at the(ir) 6-left deep, no angle for power, Stekelenburg blocks again.
