Yep. And as someone else said, he has a "100% innaccuracy" rate in guessing spain/germany matches.

So it's a good sign for Germany, you could say. Haha.

    nooooo.......

Bild has kroos starting and they are reliable on team news. Loew's comments and common sense also points to that.

Come on Juanele, this Betico also a Cubs fan who always roots for the underdog is remaining positive for tomorrows match. The Euro 08 final has not been lost on me and as this WC has shown any team can have one bad mishap or moment and blow it much like Spain did against the Swiss.

Keep the faith brother keep the faith!!

That's mean! :( After spoiling our German mood, this octopus definitely deserves to be eaten soon. ;)

Well, if we're gonna lose a vital game against the European champs again ... at least let's give them a tougher fight (and hopefully play A LOT better) than in Vienna 2008!

PS: We've never lost a WC match against Spain so far (2 wins + 1 draw).

Should the Spanish side fail to `mark & track` the German dagger, it will be a long and bloody night.

Paul the octopus might be colorblind so the German flag would be hard to distinguish from the Spanish flag. The Germans are better off statistically the first time they won was in 1954 the second time was 20 years later in 1974 and the last time they won was in 1990 which was 16 years after 1974. I see a trend. Plus Paul is 100% wrong when predicting the winner of Germany Spain matches. The only way Germany could lose if they buy into the prediction. If they go into the match with their momentum and a positive attitude they won't lose.

with Germany and Holland in the final we have like ex amount of players from bayern Munich in the final. Barcelona and Real have been kicked out the CL in the quarter and semi finals. So my thought is that Spain will also now go out in the semis just like Barcelona did. Then its up to the Bayern players to decide who will come second in this cup. If Barcelona and Real are beatable- then so is Spain.

Like i said originally paul was going for the german flag but then had a change of heart and picked the correct team. Spain is taking this decisively 2-0, believe that!

I think so, too. No Mueller (on a BS call, but that's how it goes) will make things more difficult for Germany. Germany's playing well, but Spain's been winning despite not being in top form. I think they put it together tomorrow, and their talent will just be too much for Germany. Spain wins.

    Germany's World Cup Cycle:

    Cycle 1:
    1954 - Win
    1958 - Quarter Final
    1962 - 4th
    1966 - 2nd
    1970 - 3rd
    1974 - Win

    Cycle 2:
    1990 - Win
    1994 - Quarter Final
    1998 - Quarter Final
    2002 - 2nd
    2006 - 3rd
    2010 - ???

Interesting. If Germany had finished 4th in 1998 instead of losing to Croatia in the quarterfinal, then a win in this tournament would completely duplicate the results from the "first cycle".
