The winner of this match will be the World Cup winner, I hope.

I think Germany is playing the best football in this WC! They deserve to win because they already send England and Argentina back home. Good teams.

Just watched all Spain-match-highlights this WC.
We need to be aware of their long-range shots. Yet Spain scored too little from their distance-efforts. Their built-up play seems to lack the last pass into the box by now, but their distance tries are not bad at all. Remember we conceived one goal from distance against England. ;)
The other goal England scored against germany came from a short corner, if I remember correctly.
Fun-Fact: Almost every spanish corner-kick is played short.

The two goals we conceived troughout the tournament (and that stood) were from high crosses into the box. Spain isn't doing to well in that case. However, don't let Ramos deliver a cross.

Speaking about Ramos the attacking player and Ramos the defender. Our left defense-side is our weekness, but our left attacking-side is clearly a strength. (6 goals scored) We need to keep our habits in switching from defense to offense really quickly, exploiting Ramos' right-side.

Apart from that it is all about central midfield, whoever keeps the others under control will win that game for sure. Very close one. Both sides are playing as a team, meaning they both connect their offensive and defensive players very good. Plus both sides have players with great individual skills.

I hope for a german victory, of course. But all the best to Spain, too. May the better side win it.

The Swiss goal came off a goal right down the middle not on the left side of the defense, the Chilean goal came off a deflected shot that was on the right side of the goal. I think that Capdevila is having a great WC and although he is not as fast as Ramos he has still been up front working on getting the ball to X. Alonso and Villa.

I didn't say you conceived a goal yet down that side. I said we should try to shoot one. ;)

Edit: Wait, shoot one doesn't sound right. Score one!

Edit2: Wait again, is "conceiving a goal" = "letting the ball go into the net"? Because that's what i meant. In German slang: Einen reinbekommen...

    Stop the mockery. :D

    Back to the match:
I did see Portugal givin Spain a hard time. Especially Contreau (Almeida too, that deflected pass, which almost ended in the net) on Portugal's left and i hope Podolski has some space if Ramos is in the german half, too. That's all I wanted to say.

    Sex with footballs, no thanks.

Seriously, lol. I remember the semi final thread against Italy in '06...WORLD of difference.

    Lot of mutual respect here.

The rivalry between Germany an Italy is huge though. The winner of that semi was likely to get a fourth star. This is not the case here with Spain.

Of course, but it's still a World Cup semi final. Germany haven't won in 20 years and Spain have never won it.

Spain remains positive and focused ahead of tomorrows match. They DID NOT practice PK's at today's final practice.

In that case, they'll probably get a penalty in extra time where they could draw the game, but Neuer saves it...:D

You'd think they would practice some since they have missed every pk this tournament. Or maybe they figured since they are playing Germany it would be futile if it came to penalties.
