Eriksson sucks as 4th. Just blew his chance at the final.

I know knocking the ball out of the GK's hand isn't a require caution...but just the free kick?

No caution to Aguerro for interfering with the GK?

You've got to caution that interference with the keeper

Now Brazil gets to complain. Silva was worse on gk, but same idea. No caution for Argentine.

It's difficult to have tournament-wide consistency when you change the rules...

Was that even called offside, looking at the replay, I don't think the referee put his flag up.

I really like Cakir´s foul identification. I really like that the ARs are getting most offsides right.
But his failure to show the mandatory and neccessary YCs (and then give the Dutch leftback one for practically nothing in the first half) is astounding, even at this world cup. Even worse than the first 40 minutes of BRA-MEX when I saw 3 YCs and he had none.

103' Robben punished for not going to ground. Looked a clear foul.

Kuyt tackle there was interesting. Quite hard.

Or for being known to go to the ground on every foul?

If he goes down he gets the call and a 20 yard free kick. Hard to blame the players for going down "easily".

It would have made more sense for him to not get the call if had gone down.

Zabaleta was down for 2 if not 3 minutes.

Overall, Cakir has been great. Yes, we can nit pick--as we can with each performance, but he nailed all CMIs, he actually displayed a card or two on tactical fouls (one was a PI/Tactical combo), and each team got a fair shake. Very well done.

True, but I'd rather it be won during the course of play
