At least he’s calling the arm on the neck that hasn’t been called much this tournament. Hopefully it continues.

11” Should be a foul, not a corner

We tell new refs not to do the "point at the foul and point in the opposite direction" thing, but when the WC semifinal ref does it...

Noticed right before the goal that Cakir went to talk to Sterling about standing in an offside position to obscure the keeper’s sight.

lovren should be booked for that, clearly not attempting to play the ball

    It's hard to get a 2nd yellow when you can't really get a 1st.

AR either made an incorrect offside decision on pass to Kane or just made the worst decision of the tournament.

That would have been a good use of the delayed flag if Kane had scored since I think the assistant might have had that one wrong.

Even if it was for that close maybe-offside, aren't they instructed to keep the flag down there and wait for VAR if necessary?

Looks like Kane's ball off the post. CR needs to be better than that and waive it off. That came off the keeper.

It was a delayed flag. He was waiting until it was in the net or out for a corner kick. VAR would have been able to count the goal if it had happened. Everything was done right there (except, likely, being wrong about the offside, of course).

I think it was not an offside call at all. It was ball out of play, goal kick. Looks the same as offside.
