Who do Holland fans want to face?

Hoping that Uruguay can play this match. We can talk about winning it later, but right now, I just want to play in it

Uruguay without Suarez, Fucile and probably no Godin and Lugano. I think Uruguay have no chance against Holland.

I expect a repeat of the 1974 match.

That'd be like Christmas morning and the day I lost my virginity all wrapped into one. Payback is a bitch Deutchland.

Unfortunately we still have to get by Uraguay, and apparently, from what I've read on other threads, they are not above cheating.

And its going to happen. Hopefully Lugano and Godin can recover. I don't think we'll miss Suarez either. Dutch players would've known him too well anyways. I feel comfortable with Forlan and Cavani up top, and Nacho Gonzales behind them.

    What does garra charrua mean?

Using your hands to stop a goal?

    An injured captain.
    Best defender out.
One of their only 2 goo offensive players gone.
An entire team drained by a crazy rollercoaster of a game.

Christmas came early in the Netherlands.

That list would be shorter than the list of teams just dreaming of making the finals... you're rooting for who?

You seem to be forgetting both Nigel de Jong as well as Gregory van der Wiel are both barred from next game, seeing as they received their second yellows. Plus Robin Van Persie, Joris Matthijssen and Rafael vd Vaart are all injured. = Limp Dutch team as well.
On the plus side; We still have a decent bench of replacements.

Agree. If you compare the two teams the Netherlands is better. We should win

I wonder if that is entirely a good thing.

Here is a quote from Brian Glanville's History of the World Cup about that 1974 game: "In their first match, at Hanover, they [the Dutch] easily dispatched the Uruguayans, who were astonishing poor, having little to offer but ruthlessness. Even this was ineffectual: they failed to kick the tormentingly elusive Cruyff, they had Montero Castillo sent off for punching Rensenbrink in the stomach, although [Pablo] Forlan was a much more serious offender."

However, Uruguay has cleaned up its act since 1974.

I just heard Lugano on Uruguayan TV.
He came out because he wasn't at 100% and didn't want to hurt the team. It seemed like he will play, as he continued playing after the initial injury.

We should be able to win, but the game still has to be played.

I hope we don't somehow choke.

We will dont have the best team on field. But dont understimate us, cause every time someone does that, someone is kicked. Cavani will play in a more attacking position, Godin will come back, Lugano is questionable. Fucile is out but Martin Caceres shoud play to defend Robben. Van der Wiel and De jong are clearly starters and are suspended.

After Uruguay fans being 'proud' of cheating to get to semis I hope Netherlands thrash Uruguay. And I hate Dutch football.

So Godin is about 90% in, Lugano is I'll say at 70%.
    Lodeiro is 99% out.

We will be fine. Will be an entertaining, close, suffering until the end kind of game
