That was a ridiculous decision. There was no unnatural position by the player either. I did not realize players require eyes on the back of their heads now too.
Nothing wrong at all. Just a stronger player. If anything Sweden defender was blocking, but compared to Latin teams, it was nothing to call. No one seems to be complaining. PH
Hard to jump with a forearm on your shoulder/head Edit Not saying it should be called. But there’s a reason he didn’t jump.
I was wrong. The defender did jump. He just jumped back towards goal at an angle in a last ditch effort to head the ball. This put him off balance and led to him falling to the ground. https://imgur.com/LONmmk7
I suppose someone (no prizes for guessing who) will say that was a foul by the Swedish attacker who had his header on goal saved? PH
Amazingly quiet game from a referee perspective. Why? Two uefa teams? Kuipers man managing from the very beginning? Both?
That's quite the rationalization. Your post made me laugh. If Maguire runs into me to and bowls me over to head the ball it is a foul. This is Sweden, not Brazil who fall at the slightest contact.
Relatively clean game thus far and very little dissent, respect to both sides, games like this are certainly more entertaining imo.
