Soft PK if given, but they have been given all tournament.

    It’s a foul, but not a penalty.

There are serious problems with how the BS app shows emojis and images.

In any case, the standard tongue in cheek face usually is the winking one. [emoji6]

That was an obvious foul on Saka which resulted in France's goal , no VAR check on that ???

Even if the foul started outside the box, if it carried on inside the box, it's a penalty. Looked as if it did to me.

Shocking refereeing at the moment, VAR is just as subjective it seems as an live action view.

We should really get on the ref's case a little bit and make him aware that his refereeing isn't acceptable. Our players are respectable, but we need a bit of aggressiveness now, France would absolutely do that

It's the most sophisticated match fixing tool they have now. That's because people believe it's ultimately objective, but what isn't is the decision to use it, and the referee's right to deny that. So when it's used, fans be like "Well it's objective" ignoring the other two factors. It's not. Just a smoke and mirror technology to be used when convenient and when they want to alter a match.

england will get opportunities, need to move the ball quicker. the passing lanes are there but only for a moment. can't dwell on the ball, especially on the wings

Saka has been immense, and it's clear we're relying on him to create the chances now, Bellingham and Foden need to get into the game to give us more opportunities.

Atleast we're not on the backfoot as much as I thought, but we need a coherent plan coming into the second half, hopefully with more midfield involvement to Kane.

England still in it, but they need to press and mark Griezmann. Need to stretch the field more as well.

Officiating was questionable to be honest. I've watched many soft PKs and fouls given all tourney, but today they let them play out.

    Griezmann is playing very deep.

And he's playing like he has a death wish. I think he'll get a red at this rate.

I think the referee has really let a lot go and been very lenient on fouls which is why he didn’t call a foul outside the box that might’ve been a penalty. Both sides have gotten away with a lot this game so far.

Besides the goal, which was also against the general run of play, France have done nothing of note in the first half.

Deschamps would have given them a dressing down.

The challenge on Saka that wasn't called (and which eventually led to the goal by France) was a 50/50 call. But while I think the challenge on Kane was just outside the box, it was undoubtedly a foul that should have given England at least a dangerous freekick. I understand VAR not intervening in both cases, but that referee has been whistling in a seemingly biased manner.

Something I've grown increasingly tired of : the ref delaying corners to explain to players that he's watching them. Is that really necessary. Just call fouls, bruh.
