I really have no idea of what’s going to happen in this one match, I see it as perfect 50-50.
Both nations have their strengths-weaknesses, and I believe it will all come down to the form of each team on that specific matchday.

I’m hoping for a high scoring and close match, definitely possible given the attacking power of both teams :ROFLMAO:

Let’s go for an insane 5-4 for France!! My god this would be a legendary match and that’s all I’m asking for. Although very unlikely scoreline in modern WC football xD

France has shown defensive weakness, but it's totally plausible that they just didn't respect the opponents they've played so far and played a more attacking game. Deschamps is no stranger to pragmatism, so it would not surprise me one bit if he took a different approach in this game against a tougher opponent and we see a better defensive performance here. We can't assume teams will approach every game the same way.

I think France can't just resort to giving the ball to Mbappé and hope he solves pulls rabbits out of his hat. He certainly can do so, but theoretically it will be tougher vs England than other opponents. France definitely has the offensive talent to spread the ball around. I give the edge to France, but I can definitely see England pulling off a surprise.

If Southgate doesn't just go ultraconservative.

He will. And I wouldn't be surprised if France goes more defensive as well.

Sterling has returned to Qatar and is training with the group after going back to England when his house was broken into with his family present. He probably lost his starting spot to Foden though.

It would be absolutely peak England to beat France by playing well tonight and then lose to Morocco on penalties.

Biggest game of this WC, so far.

Walker vs Mbappe would be the battle to watch.

Hoping this does not turn into a borefest
Im pretty sure it will be good, and maybe highscoring given the style both teams have, but let’s watch and see!

Guys, does it really matter who wins today in this game. Morocco is up next. I guess in the very least we see two old rivals battle it out for a possible consolation match next Saturday? :D

Very unlikely, but stranger things have happened in this world cup, like Spain scoring 7 goals vs Costa Rica. No one saw that coming. :D

Yeah well, these guys are unplayable.. Look at that shot out of freaking nowhere.

Just like their goals against Croatia 4 years ago.

    Just too much individual quality.

Spain dropping 7 on Costa Rica was much more likely than, say, Japan coming from behind twice to beat Spain and Germany.
