Nice save by James, it also looks that England is dominant in the air early on.

04' 0-0 Rooney stands 1 mowed stripe offside, poaches a poor Germany backpass, called offside. Germany's box and #1 Manuel Neuer pan into view.

05' 0-0 Germany longball from midfield mid-right bounces at box top, #8 Mesut Özil bursts in and carries too-far to 5m 6-right -- has no angle, and #1 David James saves, popping it up way high.

England looks more nervous at the moment, first touch and passing is off - they need to settle before Germany punishes these early nerves

Terrible shot by Poldolski. Should have passed out left.

england will never score just trying to push the ball through Germans central defense.

James is looking very safe on crosses this tournament, which always impresses me in a keeper. There are plenty of good shot-stoppers around but a keeper with a commanding presence in the box is invaluable to his defence.
