Thanks, USA players for a thrilling ride.

Congrats to Ghana on advancing. They beat us fair and square.

Hopefully, when Bradley goes back to MLS next month, he'll have learned that in an elimination game you don't change what it is working just fine and not put in the likes of Clark and Findley. I'm a Bradley fan but this tournament, he simply made too many mistakes in our starting line-ups and failed over two years to correct our penchant for starting games in sleepwalking mode.

We leave with our heads held high, knowing that while we're not championship material yet, we belong at this level and are slowly improving. We got results against not only the opposing teams but also against the refs. Someday, we'll stop getting killed by lack of depth.

Finally, I'm just happy this game was decided by the coaches and players and not by the officiating crew, who did a good job today unlike some of the clowns we've seen over the past two weeks.

Good effort by the US, but Ghana was just this little bit better.

Gotta wonder what would happen if Edu had started, maybe even Feilhaber (though that was never likely). Dominated the second half, lost on two bad defensive mistakes.

well, congrats ghana. Though all that diving and time wasting at the end was kinda of sad.

Altidore, I don't think I ever want to see you suit up for america again. You have done nothing in this tournament but choke away chance after chance for the USA.

Shame Donovan's clutch goal at 91 min from the last game will go in vain now. Was really looking forward to a win, almost looked like it at the second half.

    Altidore such a lousy player.

Excellent play by Ghana matched with disgraceful theatrics.

If this was the best they could put up against Ghana, they might as well get eliminated now.

Feilhaber was great when he first came on, but faded fast. Still, Bradley's decisions really hurt us.

    Ghana definitely deserved that...

Howard definitely did not have a good game...but, neither did the US in general. Can't wait for Hail Mary's every game...this isn't that type of sport...

Well, now Ghana must go through to the semis, as Africa's representative.

I didn't think they had a prayer of getting through their group after they lost Essian, good for them.

Early defensive lapses the Achilles heel of the American effort. Damn! Excellent fightback spirit; I'm disappointed with today's result, but not with their showing overall.

I gotta say, when Bradley was asked "Can you say you started your best 11?" his answer sounded to me like a "maybe not".

With that lousy performance by Uruguay against Skorea i think Ghana have a decent chance for advancing to the semi-finals :)

    Well done Ghana.

As a US fan, I'm disappointed. But, honestly, you can only fail to show up for the first half so many times before you're going to pay for it. We were abysmal in the first half - just god-awful.

We were the better team in the second half and were rewarded for it, but ran out of gas in the extra period. Disappointing to see the U.S. run out of gas first, but that's what happens when you have to play behind, it takes more out of you.

Bob Bradley needs to go. This team's first-15-minute failures are his fault, and, honestly, why he started Ricardo Clark is one of those things which will never make sense. He Edu started from the beginning we would have had an extra sub late which might have made a difference in the extra time.

I'm disappointed by this game, I think we are fully capable of beating Ghana ... but we have to show up for the full game to do it, and we didn't, so Ghana deserves the win.
