Suarez displayed the reasons why I think Uruguay will make it to the Semis.

I hope they get rid of the keeper (S Korea) A 5th grader couldve done better, what an emberassment to the game. How did he ever make the team? I would be pissed. S Korea showed heart and outplayed urugay but what can you do when you have an idiot in goal?

That was a fun match. Very entertaining. South Korea just couldn't find that final bit of quality. Good World Cup for them, nonetheless.

Congrats to Uruguay. Here's hoping we meet next round.

Grats Ururguay. Better side won, but I hope they learned to not sit back on one goal again. Sit on 2, but not 1. That could have easily cost them the match. I think their defense might be a little bit overrated. Lots of missed goal chances by Korea.

Uruguay was ultimately the better side. When they weren't lazily sitting on a lead, that is.

South Korea fought hard, they definitely do not go home dishonored.

Deserving win for Uruguay, though they really approached the second half poorly.

As for Korea, their defending has really been letting them down, they're fast, they can attack, but they just concede too many goals...

Uruguay can't stop playing the game for half an hour in the middle or they will not be advancing for sure. Game was about as heart pounding as I'd feared.

Do you feel the necessity to make unheralded jabs? Let's keep this on Uruguay vs. SK, the Ghana U.S. match has yet to be played.

Dude, don't read anything into it that not there. They hugged and exchanged shirts because they respect each other as players.

I don't really think the first goal is SK keeper's fault. The defenders left a too big hole for Forlan to slot the ball in. An indecisive moment, and Suarez's job was easy

the only fear i have for uruguay is tabarez. if they had really gone for the second goal, they could have demolished korea, although there was a one vs. one break away and a clear penalty disallowed, they should have kept going...

why would you sit back with forlan, suarez, and cavani?

as soon as he put lodeiro on the match changed... what an idiot tabarez.... suarez bailed you out.

i hope uruguay keeps going, but the coach could cost them

Anyhow, back to the game talk.

Ururguay played well enough to win. South Korea can be proud of there teams play. Ururguay's GK almost had a big 2nd miscue.
Suarez is in the 'Golden Boot' running. His Ajax goals may not be so 'weak' now?

I couldn't agree more. Our veteran keeper Lee Woon Jae who famously saved the penalty against Joaquin in 2002 QF was sitting on the bench. I have no doubt on my mind he would of saved that pathetic cross.
