One more pass and that would have been a 3 on Keeper for Honduras.

For the first 10 minutes, Honduras seem to be the more attacking and threatening

Until that shot just wide...Nearly a goal for Switzerland.

Honduras seems to be recovering their qualifying form just a tad too late.

Honduras have underperformed horribly in this WC. At one point during the qualifiers, they were the best team in CONCACAF.

Ooooooh! Just wide. Should have been 1-0 Switzerland.

They still have "small team mentality," a disease that has infected all CONCACAF teams but Mexico so far --and all CONMEBOL but Brazil and Argentina.

Big change this WC finals: USA and the second-tier South American teams are not playing with that mentality. Honduras is.

Gelson Fernandez perhaps a little lucky not to be sent off there...

Switzerland have a HUGE opportunity here with Chile being down 0-2 and a man to Spain.

All of Chile will be rooting for Honduras.

Along with anyone like me who hates the prospect of Switzerland going through.

I went from watching/rooting for Chile to finding out that was a lost cause to watching/rooting for Honduras.

Switzerland has shown that they are alot better than everyone gives them credit for though. If that unfair red card wasn't handed out in the Chile game they'd have won or tied that game, and they are still really good defensively. I actually think they'd have a better shot against Brazil than Chile does, and hey, if they can take out one giant why can't they take out another? Since Honduras is out anyways, go Switzerland go!

Anybody watching this game? Is Switzerland pressing and close to scoring or are they pretty much sucking?

I'm switching back and forth. Honduras has looked closer to scoring from what I've seen.

I'm kind of switching back and forth, but so far I've seen:

Switzerland missed two point-blank chances in the first half, in the 2nd half they are frusterated and Hondurus is pushing and missed a wide open header earlier... Barnetta just broke through for Suisse and got a shot on goal- but saved.

Dreadful finishing would be my summary.

Thanks. Looks like this group is going down to the wire, and anything that happens in either match will make the difference.

One of the saves of the tourney by the Swiss goalie in the 71st minute.

Swiss will never score 2 with their finishing. They need help from Spain.

Yeah, almost seems like a stoppage time goal might appear.

They only scored one between them in the first two games. Why change things now? ;)

1 touch too many by Palacios when through on goal and the defender knocks it away.
