Yep it is, but watching the other match it seems REALLY wide open, both teams going for the win. Great to see from Honduras. Ok back on topic, Chile has some of the best defenders in the tournament. Medel and company are a breath of fresh air. I wouldn't be surprised to see them beat Brasil if they have to play them in the 16.
Remember when the USA was playing Egypt on one side and Brazil playing Italy on the other, when only two 3-0 wins would do for the Yanks? Wonder if feeling like that too often subtracts years from a person's life.
Agree with part of that, but if they were to beat Brazil as short handed as they will be if they survive (and/or finish second rather than first, anything is possible), I'd be very surprised if they beat Brazil.
I would. They are a great team but for me they don't finish off enough of thier chances. Plus they will have like 4 suspensions or something. On the other hand if they get another goal it will be Spain facing Brasil
If things stand the way they are the Chile fans should make a point to quickly learn the Honduran national anthem.
Whether they advance or not, give credit to Chile. As we say in South America, they are playing with a lot of "Huevos".
If you tuned in late to a foreign language broadcast, you'd have no idea they're playing with ten men.
And Medel is really versatile. For Boca Juniors he's played RB, RM, and DM. For his country he plays CB. They haven't played with their top scorer in the WCQ's Suazo. He's only played one half in the entire cup because of injury. He makes a big difference for them.
Didn't he play in the Honduras game? I can remember him being a little disappointing. That's probarbly because he wasn't fully fit however.
Ok so now that they're open for comment, GOOD LORD the other match has been so exciting and wide open.
