75th minute: "Japanese Fans Celebrate in Tokyo. Again." These fans don't look like they're from the predominantly Muslim neighborhoods of Tokyo.
DIVE! DIVE! And a terrible penalty kick, but he hits the rebound in...wow. Japan better win they deserve it.
yakubu's miss was the most auwful miss in worldcup history and nothing can even come close to it and lol at the dive , what a free penelty to give , oh well still hard to score 2 more goals
Most of the other thread have allowed scores, but not analysis. That is how I'm gonna run mine tomorrow - reason being it is almost unavoidable if your watching the other match.
From the other match [result]cracking good goal: Robben hits the post from 25 yards out, Huntelaar drives home the rebound. Netherlands 2-1 Cameroon. First place is pretty much out of the question for Japan now.[/result]
I've got to say, I was extremely underwhelmed by Japan coming into this tournament but they've proven very impressive. This isn't the side that qualified behind an ordinary Australia.
yeah - that's how all the other threads have worked this week. Watching this on Al Jazeera Sports it's absolutely impossible as they keep on popping up the goals / action from the other game.
My final ESPN match-tracker quote of the day: ESPN Stats & Info: This will be Japan?s first win in a World Cup match in which they have allowed a goal (currently 0-7-1).
Seriously. I didn't think they had a snowball's chance in hell to get out of this (IMO very tough) group.
