' 0-0 Australia pick up a loose ball at midfield right, dribble with numbers up to 30m box right. Pass right-to-left across the box top, then into the box at 12m 6-left. Lofted cross, #4 Tim Cahill leaps between 2 defenders, but heads wide left.

' 0-0 Serbia cross from 20m right sideline, to #15 Nikola Žigić at 8m slightly right, alone between two defenders 2m on either side of him -- but his leaping header glances wide left.

' 0-0 #14 Milan Jovanović holds at 25m box left, plays a through-ball to #17 Miloš Krasić, shoots from 6m just wide of left post -- offside! #1 Mark Schwarzer gets a left hand on the shot to the far post, can't cancel the topspin, and it rolls in behind his desperate lunge. Whew!

' 0-0 Australia has had long possession in the last 10'. They pick up Serbia's poor clearance at 30m left, pass forward to #23 Mark Bresciano at 18m box top arc left. He shoots hard low, and #1 Vladimir Stojković blocks it way out to the right.

' 0-0 Australia win another left throw-in. Australia make two subs. They throw in down the left, win another left throw-in.

' 0-0 Australia switch field to box top right. Serbia clear to a 50-50, #7 Brett Emerton gets to a ball first as he slides down to his butt, a Serb goes head-over-heels over his outstretched legs. Yellow card on Emerton.

' 1-0 Australia lobs a high cross from 30m wide right, #11 Scott Chipperfield makes the left-to-right header run and becomes a decoy, #4 Tim Cahill sneaks behind, gets way up, and heads inside the left post mid-high. #1 Vladimir Stojković was befuddled by the two-header criss-cross, and couldn't lunge far enough.

' 1-0 #22 Zdravko Kuzmanović receives at box top center, spins away under pressure -- can't ever get a shot away. Passes inside-out to #14 Milan Jovanović at 14m wide right. Crosses near post, and cleared over. Right corner is cleared.

' 2-0 Australia clear upfield to #14 Brett Holman just past midfield. He turns in acres of space, dribbles right up the center with nobody within 10m. At 25m (= 5 mowed stripes!), he blasts with his right foot across his body -- and it skips just wide of #1 Vladimir Stojkovic's rightward sprawl on his own 6-top, and bounces into the left corner low!

I can't get a video feed for either of these matches (thank God I didn't have this problem this morning). Finally got to see the goals for Australia: Damn fine goals. Hope they can get one more and the Germans at least one just to see them mean a little bit more.

Goal Serbia 2-1 now. If Serbia gets a 2nd they would go through now wouldn't they?

' 2-1 #7 Zoran Tošić receives at box top right, neither pressure nor wall in front of him. Touches left, then blasts a curler that bounces just in front of #1 Mark Schwarzer -- and he spills it 1m in front  And #9 Marko Pantelić is right there, and pokes it in!!
