Great definition by Park, Korea is really nice to watch as a neutral, nice organized team :).

Greece is a candidate for 32th place at this WC, at least North Korea bunkers and New Zealand have a HUGE heart.

What is the record for most goals by an AFC team in one WC game? Because it really looks like South Korea could run up the score.

The Glorious People's Republic of Korea has already won the World Cup with a record 17-0 victory over Spain in the finals, after a surprise 12 goal performance by the Dear Leader himself. So yeah, they won't finish in 32nd place.

Greece burns their last sub with a half hour to go.

    They tire pretty quickly.

58' 2-0 #2 Giourkas Seitaridis (RB) gets way upfield, drives right sideline, but -- he's not an attacker, he's slightly unsure how attacks work  About 1-v-5, with no supporting runs up the middle at all, he crosses forlornly from the right sideline to the center of the 6-box, and Jung has so little pressure that he almost overthinks the catch.

Wow - go SK. Put Greece to the sword. They look disinterested & past it. Just hope the Koreans don't play down to their level now or make any mistakes.

Look at them. They're just trotting around, no urgency to close space... this should've been 3-0....

It's a disgrace Greece gets in over other Euros like Sweden, Czechia and Croatia.

62' 2-0 #22 Cha Du-ri dribbles up from RB to about 30m right sideline, looks up and delivers a pinpoint cross to the 6-top center, where #10 Park Chu-Young rises with a snap header to the upper left corner -- and just gets under it and pops it about 1m over the bar. Dang -- a FB who can cross like that is a weapon

Gekas shows Greece's first spark of creativity with a half-hearted donkey kick inside the six.

I always said S. Korea are the dark horse of this group. They and Australia are the best AFC teams by far. I see Argentina and S. Korea moving on, not necessarily in that order.

Otherwise, European teams still seem to suffer of the "Antaeus Syndrome": they are much weaker outside Europe. The price to pay for always playing their preparation matches on European soil, I guess.

Looks like they let the upper tier crowd fill up some of the better seats in the second half.

Even then it looked half-hearted somehow. They finally a second ago had a solid header on goal & another effort. FINALLY, they've come to life.

To be fair their attack is being woefully handicapped by how terrible their defense is. So many mistakes, and not just mistakes but terrible, terrible mistakes expected more out of youth sides. The goals they gave up do take quite a bit out of you. But it's no excuse for a drop in effort during the first WC match...
