I realize. I was just describing a 'what if' scenario that we won't see in this tournament.

 

Yeah, it's all irrelevant now. But for Mexico this changed nothing.

A shame Saudi Arabia didn't score like 20 minutes earlier. Then a goal either way would have seen that team go through.

 

Highly unlikely for Poland to win against France , same thing for Australia vs Argentina

Even thinking for a while they would qualify they don't deserve it.

 

Guess I have to change my prediction to 8 UEFA teams and 1 CONCACAF, will keep the 2 CONMEBOL and 3 from Africa, 2 from Asia.

Based on this showing the best chance Poland have at 1/4 final is Szczesny legendary game.

In some ways I like it cause if you hatchet and stab and claw your way to points then in my mind you deserve to go home compared to a team that played less careless.

But I can see why people hate it because if you have a strict Ref the other team did not have then it kinda is a bummer.

 

Remember everyone said that about Japan when they did the same against Poland, and then they went and almost knocked out Belgium. Guess Poland learned a trick from Japan here, lol.

Actually I think Sweden and Ukraine were better than Wales and Poland but it doesn't matter, this things always happen, Denmark on the other side was terrible.

Even Italy being eliminated by Northern Macedonia was another thing hard to explain.

 

If they play like they did today against Argentina - without a doubt.

Poland has two things going for it: Szczesny in goal and Lewandowski in attack. The defence is a mess, the midfield is poor...

 

Poland has nothing to lose now. I think they will be a harder match up for France than you think. They eventually did something they haven't for décades.

Poland basically advanced, because they parked the bus after Argentina was leading 2:0 and protected their yellow card advantage over Mexico.

They never once tried to take the game to Argentina.
