I'm a Korea fan and I'm still of the opinion that we got SOOOOOOOOOOOO lucky. Wow. It could have been 4-2 Nigeria or worse. Their finishing was really bad. That's the only reason we got through.

Hate to agree with Lalas on ESPN, but KR are definitely the second best team in that group.

Though it helped that Greece played some really bad football and Nigeria couldn't finish.

and a little help from the ref helps korea IMO. Since Nigeria missed their opportunities. I could see why Nigeria played without desperation. their technical skill is superior, but Korea was more of a hustler.

If they showed that urgency earlier... Nigeria might be moving on.

Have you been watching Nigeria during the cup or qualifying. They been awful at finishing. I wish we had the 90's squad with today's keeper even though he had a bad game today.

Ugly way to progress but Im elated. We lacked the class to put this game fully away although we had our chances but Nigeria really have themselves to blame for this. Im not sure what happened momentum wise but we seemed to fold in the middle defensively. Really disappointed in Kim Nam Il. He was a bad sub.

Also our goalie Jung needs to be replaced from this point on. He was not solid at all.

Good on you Park Chu Yong....

that's debatable if you saw how Park Chu-young and Lee Chun-yong played.

no denying the Eagles skill, but they were going up against a bush league defense. Korea showed a lot of skill up front as well and also missed chances.

but Nigeria was by far the better team today.

Horrible missed chances by our team, the ref was a disgrace just gifting the Koreans freekick after freekick, the Koreans weren't even diving the ref just blew his whistle for every little contact, absolutely disgraceful. This isn't a bunch of ballerinas, this is a fu*ing man's sport.

I'm still at loss how Yakubu missed that goal. I don't think I could intentionally miss the goal in those circumstances ...

I agree that Nigeria played better and were producing chances left and right but give credit to Korea for holding on. They did what they had to do against a nigerian team that was fighting for its life.

I don't know what to say of this comment, other than pointing out the fact of how fast the koreans are.

South Korea is the team I call "the best outside America and Europe."

I think they can play a lot better than they did today. The game vs. Uruguay is going to be a good one!

Park chu young has got some skills, can't deny that. Korea was able to capitalize on their FKs.

and Nigeria missed so many opportunities. while in the 1st half, having control of midfield.
