Looks like the weather is really gonna play a part in this one.

Anything that makes the play more unpredictable can only help North Korea.

Is it just me or should Portugal be the quicker team by far? Because right now they're not.

04' 0-0 And this is the de facto PBP thread, due to some moderator not re-opening the other thread :D

Portugal has launched 2-3 sprint-drives from midfield into the box. North Korea hasn't been able to establish possession.

06' 0-0 Portugal right corner, curls to 6-top left post -- #1 Ri Myong-Guk comes way out, lunges and misses, #6 Ricardo Carvalho heads a high floater off the left post

I'm suprised that the lad up top for NK, who's actually Japanese, is allowed to wear Nike.

North Korea shot, ball curled too much, which is fortunate for Portugal, because the keeper did not have the near post fully covered.

They're going to run at each other all day long. This is going to be awesome.

Jong Tae-se is allowed whatever he likes (and chooses to buy for himself in Japan).

Read the SI feature on him. He brings his MP3 player, laptop, and digital camera into North Korea whenever he attends a pre-tourney camp, and all his teammates dogpile into his room and watch videos and play video games.

Tea-Se was one-on-one in the box. Really bad first touch, otherwise Portugal would have been in real trouble.

Oh I know all of that. I'm just saying it's interesting that he's the one wearing Nike boots. It doesn't appear that any of the native born NKs are. Maybe I'm wrong.

Might as well not bunker, with the weather conditions especially, N. Korea has the wheels to counter so they are taking risks.

I thought that bunker was trademark. They can attack very nice though

Another header, over the bar. Portugal should be fortunate North Korea doesn't know how to put it on frame.

That last shot has the potential for trouble -- a tricky ball skimming over wet grass is a keeper's nightmare.

17' 0-0 #10 Hong Yong-Jo drives down the right outside the box, shoots hard far post -- #1 Eduardo lunge-dives out toward 6-top center and blocks it down hard to 4m center, bounces high to 11m, #4 Pak Nam-Chol leaps in but heads it over.

21' 0-0 #17 North Korea passes along the box top, #An Yong-Hak touches once inside to 18m 6-right, shoots hard low, just wide of the left post.
