I'm not to crazy of Lannoy's appointment for this match. This match has the potential for being highly charged. He typically loses the plot at some point.
Yes, I want the best of both worlds - a good match with good referee decisions! Not too much to ask, is it? so, here is my plea to the football gods: Please please please let this match be decided before 120 minutes are up, and please please please let it not be the result of a big missed call by Lannoy & crew!
Nice goals for Mario - mandatory caution for the jersey, of course, but I think his coach will forgive him....
Now we await Balotelli's first dodgy challenge, which might end up being Lannoy's moment of truth if this game progresses as is...
Is it me or is Lannoy a little too narrow? He seems to be in the passing lanes a little too much especially as the Germans attack.
And now, with the shirt, all he needs is a foolish YC challenge and he's off. So it's a race to the substitution.
Apparently, no real challenges for Lannoy yet, which makes me nervous for a big big penalty decision.
Why are Italy wearing black armbands? Ah, found it: http://www.football-italia.net/20483/azzurri-wear-black-armbands
Seems like they've added 1 minute in the first half, and three minutes to the second half of every match, regardless of what happened.
