Couple more examples of the AARs being absolutely pointless. Twice Terry has had the shirt almost pulled over his head and the AAR does nothing. Waste of time.

Do you really think the CR/AR couldn't see those? I don't think not giving those had anything to do with whether or not there were AARs on the game.
Don't think the AR could because of his angle. CR possibly, but the AAR is meant to be there to help stop all that happening and/or bring it to the referee's attention when it does.
The real question is are they assistant assistant referees or assistant to the assistant referee? Dwight Schrute wants to know..
I didn't see much of the match, but from the last 20 minutes it seemed pretty fairly played by both teams. I didn't last awake after the first extra time period, but did watch the kicks from the pnealty mark. No issues in terms of the performance by the referee crew and an excellent offside decision on the apparent Italian goal.
One thing they need to fix is to the the AAR to the opposite side of the goal. This will provide boarded coverage of the field of play by AAR and AR and will also give two views to decisions involving the ball over or on the goal line.
Buffon had bobby pins in his hair. I don't allow those, or any othe rigid or metal hair retaining stuff. I didn't notice them until the kftm, so I wonder if he just put them in for that. Maybe I shouldn't worry about that sort of thing.
That is standard issue on Buffon. Watch any match he plays in and he wears them to hold his hair in place.
It looks ridiculous. They could differ on a decision. You only need one person to see if the ball crosses the line on those close calls that happen once every 100 times during KFTM.
