I'm looking forward to this game. Haven't been that many games I've looked forward to the past 2 days but this is one of them.

 

Oh my...the attendance for this game is HORRIBLE. Wasn't expecting this game to be this empty in the stadium.

 

WOW! Nobody there! That is embarrassing.

 

What is the longest national anthem at this World Cup? I haven't seen all the games, but it sounds like Paraguay so far.

 

It's also the referee from the Seychelles - the same guy that did Honduras-Chile... anyhoo here's to fair play and a good game for both teams. Slovakia really needs a win here so hopefully they'll go for it and we'll see something similar to last nights Cameroon-Denmark game.

 

Paraguay looks the quicker and more aggressive team early on.

 

Not surprising, since Paraguay has already played Italy, they probably think that getting a strong GD against the the other two teams is a smart way to play.

As for the crowd, did any of you really think that this match would be a big draw?

It's primarily a midfield game in the first quarter hour. Paraguay is pushing but not that many chances so far.

 

First decent chance on frame taken by Riveros of Paraguay. Keeper just pins the ball to the ground.

 

Barrios with another chance, but didn't need to settle the ball. Twice.

 

I know this isn't the sexiest of matchups. But, this is the World Cup and it's still disappointing to see a stadium so empty. The point is that this should never happen - FIFA should see to it.

 

Univision are such morons, they keep calling Barrios "Argentino nacionalizado" sure he was born there but do they even have a clue that his mom is Paraguayan and his dad is Paraguayan descent?
