So Cameroon is the first team to get eliminated, but they should be congratulated for playing some entertaining football :) ... and they surely did try their best in this match.

    Great game.

Too bad for Cameroon, but that's how it goes.

First teams with two defeats in a row: Nigeria and Cameroon. Honduras my bet to join them.

CAF and AFC teams cannot compete with UEFA tactics.

suyuntuy: This match could have easily gone either way. It went Denmark's way, but it was hardly thanks to superior tactics.

Cameroon had so many chances deserved a point.

Shocked at how out of shape some of the Denmark players were in midfield and attack. They were completely out of gas around the 80'.

A third goal for Denmark would have meant that a draw vs. Japan would have been enough to see them through. As currently situated they need a win.

Obviously a disasterous result for Cameroon but I think when Denmark analyzes their task ahead and the opportunities they had to add a third with Cameroon pushing forward they'll feel it wasn't really an opportunity fully taken by them either.

Cameroon has only itself to blame. Today they fought with heart, but the first game against Japan was disgraceful and that's where they ruined their World Cup chances...

Denmark's crop of players is not as good as Cameroon's.

Most of the attack by Cameroon was through long balls to the area, when there were one or two of their men versus five or four Denmark defenders who were better positioned, taller and better organized.

The shot that hit the post was so close... otherwise, Denmark had as many chances to increase the lead as Cameroon of tying.

Emana should have been subbed. Poulsen and Jensen completely overpowered him. If you cannot control the midfield enough to advance your lines, what's the point of keeping three forwards?

Mandjeck should have come in to make the midfield 4 vs. 4. Take one of the forwards out. You cannot play a 4-3-3 vs. a 4-4-2 when you're losing and you see you cannot enter the other team's defense on the sides and the ball nearly always end in a counter by them, because you lack the men in midfield to recuperate the ball.

Denmark has very much been troubled by injuries, so several of the regulars are not really match fit..... Bendtner is not fit either. He didnt play in any of the friendlies before the WC and only played the first 60 minutes against the Dutch.

Very good results for the Japanese side. I believe in the next game, Japan only needs a draw to advance....

I'm sorry to see Cameroon go. They deserved better given how they tried in both matches. This has easily been one of the top three matches in the World Cup... great goals, lots of opportunities and tons of heart and effort put by both sides.

For those fans of Cameroon, do not despair... there are ways to leave a World Cup, and there is no shame in leaving like this.

However, if they play like they did today, and Denmark plays the way they did today, then Japan may be packing their bags. They need to show much more than parking the bus and hope for a good counter like they did against the Netherlands.

Both teams had several chances to make the difference. I'm happy Denmark came away with the three points personally, but that defense was pretty awful in general.

Japan will be a much more disciplined side next week and hopefully the Danish will use the week to regroup and build off the offensive positives and tighten up big time on the defensive side of the ball. Next week's game should be exiting.

LOL The African teams are underperforming.

Nigeria and Cameroon are not what they once were, but still
    Nigeria have a slim chance.

South Africa are mediocre but were in a very tough group.
    I don't give a sh*t about the French B team aka Algeria.

Ghana and Ivory Coast are the only hope but still have a strong chance.

It seems this may be the World Cup of the Latin-american teams. They have been playing some of the most entertaining football so far.

Nigeria may have 0 points but funnily enough they have a very good chance of advancing. All they probably need to do is win with South Korea. And South Korea is well within their range.
