05' 0-0 #4 Michael Bradley picks up a ball at 40m center heading left, threads a diagonal pass to box top left that splits two defenders, good weight leads #20 Robbie Findley into space -- can't quite cross at the endline, blocked over. Left corner short of the near post, Bradley can't turn it on-frame, fritters over for a goal kick.

08' 0-0 USA at midfield mid-right, long ball a little too far over #17 Jozy Altidore's head, fizzle. Kind of speculative.

09' 0-0 #10 Valter Birsa crosses from box top wide right to the penalty spot, #11 Milivoje Novakovič runs in with a step on his defender, swings for the grasstop running volley and whiffs -- whew!!

Really should have been a yellow on Dempsy. And I can't believe Slovenia missed that shot in front of the goal just a minute ago. You won't get an easier shot in Wc play.

11' 0-0 USA long ball to the left corner. #20 Findley wins a 1-v-1 duel, backpasses to #10 Landon Donovan -- who is apparently on the left today. Short pass to #16 José Torres, who tries a quick left outside flick into #4 Bradley's criss-cross -- intercepted, and #10 Valter Birsa(?) shows serious speed up the right sideline, matching Donovan while dribbling.

Nice shot. I think the Jabulani whiners should take a good look at it.

13' 1-0 Slovenia centers to 40m, short pass forward to #10 Valter Birsa unmarked at 25m, one touch forward to arc top center, left-footed shot curls into the right back corner. He kept a Jabulani down!

That's very harsh, isn't it? I don't know who will win, but the USA aren't out of it yet.

As we say in Brazil: GOLAÇO.

Howard didn't even move. He could've at least moved.

    Was that Altidore's first touch?
