Not ref related, but I presume that England/Scotland on a Friday night at 8pm will see a moderate uptick in alcohol consumption across Britain.

Man hurt on 15 seconds. Here it goes.

Let's see if Lahoz referees this game as a UEFA match or like the Brits like it to be...

Well the teams are playing like it's a mid table PL match.

That one on Sterling is given in England by the VAR I think.

Well Lahoz is sitting great going into the knockouts. That's about all I've got from this one.

Felt like I was watching Spurs. And that's coming from a Spurs fan.

I'm betting the Euro 2020 final referee was in Wembley Stadium today.

I’d take that bet. Both will be considered, I’m sure, but I think they are on Tier 1b and Tier 2.

Cakir’s stock has fallen in UEFA. He’s the reliable guy to make sure messes don’t get messier. But he didn’t even get a semifinal this club season. He would need two great performances to be in the conversation. Otherwise it’s maybe another SF.

Mateu is obviously in the conversation but I think just behind the top two candidates.

For me assignments are showing it’s Brych or Kuipers. I could even make the argument the path is being paved for Kuipers. If the Dutch and German teams don’t go to the late stages, I’d say it’s one of those two. Otherwise, then Mateu comes into the conversation. And if performances falter the door opens to Cakir and others.
