71' 2-1 Greece right corner, headed cleared to 25m 6-left -- those two guys knock heads, and both go down. #6 Alexandros Tziolis collects, dribbles centerward to dodge one guy, shoots hard low from top arc center. #1 Enyeama spills the ball, rebounds tantalizingly to 6-top mid-left!! #15 Vasilis Torosidis, lurking onside at 9m (because head-knocked #2 Joseph Yobo is lying on the ground, and can't execute the trap), rushes in and toe-stabs it away from Enyeama's sprawling fingertips, just inside the left post.

We didn't give up a goal after the group stage.

Enyeama must be feeling terribly lonely at this point.

Most of his team has given up the ghost.

Perhaps we need to think about it bc this experiment hasn't worked for most of them. Nigeria and Cameroon have sucked awfully. Ghana and CIV still have enough talent to overcome.

Tactics fail on Nigeria's part. They've basically dragged the Greeks back into the game by shooting themselves in the foot through the red card and their subsequent lack of adaptation.

And they're still not pressuring the Greeks. Like they haven't been watching the previous 60+ minutes.

Nah - that Dempsey shot had no pace on it and bounced twice before it got there. Green just bollocksed it. This one was hit with pace and swerved before it hit the ground inside the six. Have to say, after all the talk about it, this is the first time I've really seen the camera catch the ball do something weird in this WC.

Some of you are underrating Greece dramatically, I'm certain they can get a draw against Argentina.

    Oof, Kyrgiakos. That's why you're a defender.

Especially considering that I doubt that Tevez will get himself sent off for kicking someone.

oddly enough with this result, Greece has just propelled themselves to second place with one tough match left to try and get points from.

Korea is now obligated to defeat Nigeria OR tie them and hope Argentina steamrolls Greece.

Incredible, this Greece is like night and day compared to the Greece that played against Korea...

it's hard to read much into greece's performance today. still think argentina will win, but i would say 2-0, although argentina's defense could take a hit without samuel. no jonas too, but he's not much of a defender anyways.
