Weiss looks dangerous every time he has the ball at his feet

Yeah great skill there dribbling past a bunch of NZ defenders, Hamsik has been really quite this half though.

its a breath of fresh air to see someone have the speed, talent, and confidence to actually run at people.

the world cup is about young kids becoming new stars. he is the only "unknown", if you will, who has actually attempted to do anything special so far

even hamsek, who i started for my fantasy team, has looked like a deer caught in headlights

it was marginally offside though and I do believe that the linesmen are supposed to give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking team so I wouldn't call this a 'big' gaff... actually thought the South African penalty claim in the opening match was the real first controversial card of the tournament.

The goal is just what the game needs though will force NZ to come out more and open the game up. Would hate to see NZ leave without scoring so I hope they get one eventually.

New Zealand's play is extremely disappointing.

Who cares if you lose 2-0 rather than 1-0?

You have to push forward and instead, NZ looks content with a 1-0 loss.

How do you make it to the World Cup and not have the drive to want to win?

yeah they could have added a couple but just didnt take their chances

then again Paraguay should take care of business against Slovakia

its not that they dont want, they simply cant

they cant hold onto posession so they play the long ball, giving away posession

you can say anything you want against NZ but they dont lack desire

thats the theme of this WC. lose by as little as possible. denmark played like that yesterday. as soon as holland got on the board denmark did nothing more. its pathetic. as a neutral i'm furious, i can't imagine how i would feel if i was a fan of these teams

    WOW WOW WOW!

Winston Reid with the equalizer. And the yellow card for taking his shirt off.

Can't say I blame him, first goal in only his fourth game.

    Congrats to the Kiwis!
