Nevermind, I see the word "parrying" is on Page 111 in the I&G. Interesting. But that is written ambiguously. The phrase is: As written, it says possession includes parrying. So the act of parrying is possession, no? It certainly could be interpreted that way as opposed to the other way (by which parrying means you are possessing and then immediately releasing the ball).
Right, but it used to be a very explicit offence in Law XII. Let me try to find what the old wording was. Could give us a window into what is actually meant by the change.
