You had this post ready to go from this morning, didn’t you?

Spain is always an excruciating watch until a goal is scored. Here, Qatar, Antarctica, it doesn’t matter.

Probably while telling the other crew members “I’m looking at the down player. I can sell ignoring the DR.”

I have no idea what you’re asking by when.

The VAR would overturn. We’ve seen this several times. SFP downgraded to yellow but it’s still 2CT. It’s embarrassing for everyone. But would have happened here.

This seems like a hill you won’t retreat from. But there’s no way whatsoever that was SFP in any international or professional competition right now. Any assessor of consequence would fail a referee for SFP red there if they had access to the video.

Yes. Failed to leap over. Unless you know another way for him to avoid that collision. And now it's me. I'm on Argentina's side? How? How? Who even am I?

I'm saying the players are playing according to how the ref makes calls. It goes two ways really.

That's never a foul either way. Referee has nothing to do with it.

Why would that be a dropped ball to the keeper?

My point is that it is the WC final. You don't get another.
I would not care if some assessor gave a fail grade.
I would certainly give a red card here in any game I was refereeing.
IIRC the decision of the referee is final. A fundamental principle.
Sorry if you disagree by theoretical considerations.
