As long as Germany dont beat Spain and Japan beats Costa Rica, Germany is out in the 1st round.

At least they can clap themselves in the back for their performative virtue signalling.

I promise you, they were looking to win the match (before reality hit them).

They were not looking to pull one back after going down five.

Probably but it's not guaranted that Spain will beat Germany or Japan beat Costa Rica.
Spain and Japan will face very different kind of challenges next matchday. Spain won't have 85% possession while Japan will have to take initiative.

How were they trying to win? They kept basically a low press and never committed numbers in attack even when they fell behind. I don'r know any tactic that allows you to win without a single attempt or shot.

And remember, we will have 6 to 8 Concacaf teams in 2026 WC.

It will be like shooting fish in a barrel.

Yes but watching both Spain and Germany today, I think Spain will win. It’ll likely be a similar game to Spain vs Germany 2010.

I hadn't really watched Spain play in years, I know it was just Costa Rica but damn the way they passed circles around those guys literally nonstop was mesmerizing. That duel with Germany will be fun

Spain know their style. But Costa Rica don't even try to do anything
