I said. This Cameroon sucks as team. It's horroble. Only Honda can make goals in Japan now. And he did it.

This supposed to Africa's WC Finals, but so far, all the African teams looked dull.

Dude, Nigeria's got game. I respect their friggin' goalie, too. Enyeama can and will stop any and every Greek shot in their next game, no question. A little more aim up front and Nigeria is a force to be reckoned with.

As long as they start Odemwingie they should do fine. That kid WANTS to score, you can see it.

    Cameroon is a mess, though.

39' 1-0 Japan play down the right edge to #8 Daisuke Matsui. He fakes the instant cross, cuts back and dribbles 3m closer, then does cross with his left foot to the far post. #3 Nicolas N'Koulou and #19 Stéphane M'Bia both jump on the 6-top for headers, and miss. Ball falls serenely to #18 Keisuke Honda's foot at 2m slightly wide of left post, and he calmly settles and shoots under #16 Souleymanou Hamidou.

unfortunately i don/t think cameroonian football can do anything serious in a world cup until they have a proper #10 player. eto'o is a lethal finisher but if he can't get the ball there is no hope

Hopefully Tanaka and Nakazawa won't score for Cameroon.

I really want to like the Cameroon team. I have had a soft spot for them ever since 1990 (plus there are two Germans on their team;)). But if this game continues like this, Japan will win me over...at least they play with heart.

I think only Ghana has a shot of making it to QFs.

    And South Africa is borderline.

Cameroon disappoints me yet again, but I was aware of their bad defending --particularly in set pieces. You have to see that.

This is true, I've seen Odemwingie's potential since '08 African Cup and was surprised that he did not start yesterday.

This game is one of the worst I've seen in this tournament. Only 2 shots in half game!

Cameroon was a bit of a mystery coming into this cup but I didn't expect them to be this poor.

CIV is the only W. African side I've seen that shows any potential to make a deep run provided they get the Drogba situation right.

Him and that other Nigerian they didn't start that came in too late in the Argentina match, I saw some potential there. No idea what that coach is thinking.

Nigeria will easily roll over Greece. Greece has nothing.

Nah, the Algeria vs. Slovenia match is the worst so far, and it'll be hard to top the crappiness of that game.

both him and martins. they came on and they completely changed nigeria. a bit unfortunate to not get a goal. lagerback waited too long to make those subs bc they were awful in the 1st half against argentina.

Seriously. If their midfielders somehow learn how to play together over the break, we'll see some pretty good stuff in the second half. Though that would really surprise me, though.
