I couldn't be more excited to see Mastroeni play in this HUGE MLS regular-season matchup tonight. There will be no more important match to US Soccer this month than Colorado-KC. As Colorado furiously battles to be in not-last in the West, Mastroeni's presence is sure to more than compensate for Colorado's injury troubles, national team callups, and the presence of KC's big National team stars Josh Wolff, Kerry Zavagnin, and Tony Meola. I'll be watching to see the league's finest tactician and motivator, Tim Hankinson, work his magic on this last-place squad. Oh, wait, this game isn't even on DirectKick. Sorry. I even have an HDTV, but can't get HDNet. Meanwhile, in Columbus, 19 guys and a coaching staff do nothing of any importance at all for the short-term or long-term future of US Soccer.
To the tune of Alanis Morrisette's "Isn't It Ironic" Mark Watson Decides not to play For his national team Against San Jose So he stays with the Battery What else can I say? His foul in the box Yields the winning pk. And isn’t it ironic, don’t you think? Tim Hankinson Won’t let Pablo leave to the US men’s nats ‘cause there playing KC. So Arena releases Three to play for KC And Josh Wolfe, of course, Scores the winning pk Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?
